I am planning on winning the new rog in the event starting tomorow, so what should i use on it? I have 3 orkans, and 3 tarans. What should i stick on it if i win? I will probably replace my gareth.

Tarans. Jump in, shoot a bit, and if you see a Galahad, jump back out.

It's like choosing between steak and lobster. I really can't decide.

Orkans are more effective against Camebots (Britbots), but Tarans have a quicker reload and higher-velocity projectiles and just feel more powerful. After trying both I prefer the latter.

I'd say Tulu rog is another good candidate (try it on the moon map on TS, its fun), but between Orks and Tarans, I'd go tarans because tarans are 5 second reload for 8 shots (with 4 shots per shot, shot-ception), whereas Orks are 32 rockets with 23s full reload, but you can keep firing one rocket per second (more or less a second), in terms of close combat, taran rog would win vs Ork rog not only because of the reload time, but also because the moment you fire a magnum or taran, it hits the target, Orkans and other rocket type weapons have a travel time. Also Orks vs Tarans, its 300m vs 350m, you could essentially hit the enemy with tarans with 50m extra range, if the opponent has rockets, as long as you stay > 310m (for safety), you can hit without being hit. Now not saying that Orks are useless. Orkans have an AoE, so if your enemy is corner shooting, you can hit them even if they're behind cover. If your enemy has a physical shield, you can still damage them. In terms of energy shields, Orkans can drain them down then keep them down while other weapons/allies are firing at the enemy.

I view the Rogs as a temporary placeholder for the Dash Mk2.
Even buffed at it is, the Rog is too vulnerable in the air and 2 mediums Orks or Tarans don't cut against a Plasmahad or Ancilot --- and jumping around while engaging either will get you shot up in the air by every red within range.
The Dash Mk2 is another story, it can easily kill a Plasmahad or Ancilot while taking on little damage.
If you do use the Rog, the logical choice would be Orkans. This takes best advantage of the extra speed and 2-3 second delay between jumping (which coincides with the full unload time of the Orkans).

I've tried Ork/Tar Rog in test server. It serves me good, only if I don't wanna care too much about the next target (shielded, anciled, bring it on).
But if I wanna specialized, I still tend towards Orks Rog for its fire&forget capability.

The theory behind Orkans is that they unload fairly quickly.
The idea behind using a Rogatka is to jump in and back out as quickly as possible. So, why would you want to spend the time dancing around unloading the Tarans?
Yes the Orkans take quite awhile to fully reload but if you're playing on the move and capping beacons you will be constantly busy and not even notice the reload. Not to mention, the Orkans actually have NO reload time but once fully unloaded simply fire at a slower rate.
That said, either or is such a valid option and the Orkan vs Taran debate comes up often. What it comes down to is luck of the draw. You can't predict what you are going to run into. One match you'll need Orkans and then the next be wishing for Tarans. That's just how it works so swap them around to whatever works for you.
It's really going to depend on what other bots you have set up. It's usually a good idea to run a mix. So if you feel like running a PlasmaDB Griff one day, then run a RogOrkan. Tomorrow swap it around. There really is no definite answer for one or the other.

Rog is a glass cannon. So choose the weapon that allows you to do a lot damage in very short time before jumping out: Orkans.
