Is it just me, or do Android leagues seem to actually get tougher and tougher? It's just a feeling, but it feels like average other players (blues and reds equally) in Silver 1 are getting tougher faster than I can upgrade my bots. I mean, I sort of feel I'm improving my own game, and my bots are improving all the time of course. Yet it seems like I'm still sliding down towards Silver 2, not climbing up towards Gold 3.
Or is it just the MM having its fun at me?
Note, I'm not really complaining, my matches are fine, and I get enough gold (mostly MoC, occasional damage gold too) to be happy. Just curious.
Poll is just for Android, but feel free to comment about IOS leagues below.

Commenting on The breadth and depth of Elo hell on iOS. Seems to be stasis resulting from entropy in the league/matchmaking algorithm, for us, is pegged in diamond II/I. It is the confluence of up n comers as well as the various game manipulators. You see 4 slot hangers with 7~10 bots/7~10 weapons approx 600-1000 wins, all the way to 12/12 5000+win seasoned players, all with a diamond badge of some level. For us, in diamond I, when your win%/damage goes over 60%/~520K, you move into the masters/expert pool, with several champions for extra flavor. The beat downs are exquisitely spectacular in getting you back to 50%.

I hope deflation doesn't happen. It happened to me in another popular game. I started the game as a noob, then learned the ropes, then tried to advance. Basically, stuck in the same league as the first day I joined.

Well I am still climbing but it certainly has been tough. I started in silver III when I first got placed. Today I just made Diamond III. My bots are usually a little bit lower level than other people in whatever league I am in, but that varies a bit. So... I guess it is still possible to climb the ladders.
This is a bit off topic but when I feel stuck in a league it is usually an improvement in my strategy, play style, or adjusting my hanger that breaks me out, rather than upgrades. I guess one example would be when I got better at playing knife fighters on open maps or when I took out my Fujin and put in a Thunder Carnage.

Say your in silver 2, and all your opponents are. The rate at which you upgrade a weapon and the rate your enemies upgrade are virtually identical. So the competition is upgrading the same as you, only skill will help you advance.

Are you using any new bots/weapons that's different to your normal setup, have you changed your priorities in game or are you using your old tried and trusted hanger?
I've noticed since the moon map and Rogatka update people have been playing more with fast agile bots, less with Treb campers as a result play has changed on all maps (IMO for the better).

Since this is the MM that is created, I'm already giving up and joining the vile ranks of players suppressing their hangars. I'm in the process of doing damage only games without capping too many beacons. This creates more loss than wins since there's at least one active player who isn't capping and combined that with a couple others with similar nefarious thoughts, games will be lost though damage is done. I'm planning to drop into d2 or d3 and staying there with similar tactics, play to win in tight maps and stick in my fury for the entire game in open maps. Since I won't always win in tight maps or lose in open maps, this should create a balance and allow me to stay suppressed without having to fight champion or master squads. Sure there are some overgrown hangars in diamond as well, but it can't be as bad as facing 11/12/12 hangars as a norm.

It took me almost 1 month to advance to Gold 3 from Silver 1 with a 8/9 hangar (most of my game is solo). Although tough, I still enjoy playing the game as I can still see myself climbing the league ladder with my current bots and weapons. It maybe a slow progress but I don't have any problem with that.

You think you get closer, win 1, then get the smackdown against Master and Champions. I've given up trying to go up.

I have to admit, I do not have my 5th slot nor have I picked up a Galahad I so truly want. Just about 5000 gold shy of that. My biggest mistake was cracking 70% win rate. The beatdown I received since then dropped me from Gold 3 to Silver 2. 15% of matches were no better than 5 v 6, three minute matches on moon map (6 in a row) where I could capture more beacons than my entire team combined. Natasha Zenit teammates against 2 Ancilots, 3 Galahad and a Gareth. Now, SIXTY games later, the competition is more balanced and the win rates will return to normal. It looks like I might get the fifth slot in about 3 weeks. That will help mitigate the large swings by a good margin. Oh well.

I like the idea of the new mm at the beginning. Then I found out that my lv.7 bots+weapons are facing much higher lv.bots. It's extremely unfair as I got dominated by them. I rarely came first in my team, which means I can't earn any gold. At the battlefield, each time I see red gekkos, I got more fustrated than before. It's completely unfair as they got the advantages bullying us, using 5 Lancelots crushing my team. Is this fair for the middle level players?
