Many people today only care about all the new robots and new weapons that absolutely dominate lobbies and in some cases can one shot you without a fight... *cough cough* ultimate shocktrain... But what about the olden robots and weapons that can still be used in high leagues.
My first robot on this list is going to be the Ao Jun. The Ao Jun is a pretty dang old robot by now which just received it's new ultimate version. You can still see some champion leaguers running this bot with shotguns and other incendiary weapons.
My second robot on this list is the lancelot. A lancelot can be good in any league depending on who your fighting and what you are running on it. In a few youtube videos I know I've seen Lancelots being ran with some ultimate weapons and dropping triple kills in champion/master league lobbies.
My third robot on this list is the behemoth. A relatively old (by my standards) robot that just received it's newest buff (Crisis) and is one of only two robots that can run 4 heavy weapons (as far as I know, haven't played for 2 years until 2 months ago) which can still pack a punch.
Weapons:
My first weapon on this list is the Taran. This may be a surprise to some of you but Mk3 Tarans can actually still pack a punch in the higher leagues.
My second weapon is the shocktrain/weber. These two weapons are still deadly snipers till this day and can still be found in the champion league today.
And my third and final weapon, the Zeus, the zeus is by far one of the most old weapons that can still pack a punch till this day. Can rarely be found in the champion league, but I bet if you run an mk3 one on a Crisis you can still dominate lobbies.
That's it for my list. What og robots and weapons do you guys have that can still pack a punch in high leagues today?

Lancelot, heavy metal ROCK GOD! I still run one occasionally, 1 Taran, 1 Orkan and I'll let my mood decide the heavy. Sometimes it's a Zeus. I run a couple of Orkans regularly, a Dragon Blaze and a Treb MolotT Fenrir. I kinda think almost any weapon (or bot) can be effective, provided you play to its strengths. Look at some of BB 's videos. Cossack, Rogatka and Strider, capping and slapping in the deep end. On my baby account, I run a Scourge Typhon and it's a wild one. Yeah, lockon is a 「female dog」, but when they kick in up close it's a revelation to some, and they're only 1.11

IMO it’s less about the bot and more about your ability driving that bot. Weapons are another story though, they can make all the difference, ie: newer weapons on older bots have been my thing for years now, I never buy new bots but will drop some dough a couple times per year to mount some new weaps on my ancient bots IF those weaps fit with my preferred playstyle.
I still use fully jacked magnums and tarans occasionally, but slightly newer stuff like pulsars, magnetars, rads, flaming ball shooters are staples in my hangars because they are still very solid when used with precision.

rog w ions for draining yellow shields, picking off the low hp. the reload and jump timers match up nicely. road hog, mechanic, wonderworker and the one that locks target sooner ( brain fogged atm) just loaded another rog with hazrds, nice.
make sure you road hog and ghost that lance. add a jump module and you can crash a party like no other.
ive never went above 12/1 so obviously not way up there but im still diggin it..
i quit paying attention to leagues when diess happened.

Wait, are you talking about ultimate or classic Ao Jun running in higher league? Classic Ao Jun is a death trap even in lower leagues (I'm expert II). I'd probably have to use phase shift on every landing to keep it alive, and even then with all the lynxes around everybody and their mother has Quantum Radar. I'd say my Ao Guang would have a better longevity.
Ultimate yes, I get some millage out of the ultimate destrier. But that's completely different than classic version.
