As I have paid increasing attention to the red and blue teams list at the end of the game, it seems that games are more often than not decided by tankers, in one of two ways: * they're seal clubbing * they're sinking and don't take part
In some games I've seen #6 from both red & blue score 0 - leaving the result up to the other 5 players, something I'm sure the tankers wished didn't happen. In many games the player with the highest damage in their history is at the bottom than the top.
The question is, if Pixonic can see this activity (and they can), do they put a player in your team that is currently earning very very few honor per match as a way of trying to fix the result of your match such that you stand a good chance of loosing?

tbh ....this is how it works for me.
my team has about 10 straight games with people using lvl 9 or under gear (by choice or tanking whatever) while the other team consists of FULL mk2 setups and higher and on the rare occasion it will put a couple of tankers on my team (hence the recent photo i shared)
when tankers start mowing down my team everyone just stops or opts out mostly , when tankers are on MY team they do one of two things they either completely flatten the other team OR they are tanking and not playing at all

also i might note that since range came into it - many many many many people have started sitting at the back of the map lazy sniping they expect people to win for them because they can't be bothered to put up a fight so they sit there ALL game 4+ people and do nothing but taking random potshots at people hoping for a kill while expecting the rest of the team to do the work

From what I am seeing in the expert and masters leagues, most players are tankers. And I mean 80% of the players. There are heavy weight ones and light weight ones and the in betweens.
Why pix isnt doing anything about it? Most likely, their mid tier players under Champions League would not exist. That would break the game. Judging by the gear the tankers have, most are paying customers and probably watch 「dookie」 loads of ads too and thus contribute heavily to the revenue.
The majority have decided to play the game in a way they they prefer and due to their numbers and contribution to the revenue, pix is not willing to do anything about it.
It is what it is. Monetising primarily based on selling power brings all this 「dookie」. And there is no fix if the revenue levels need to be maintained. Easy game outcome related fix is to bring the hanger strength based MM back with a few fine tunes and the problem goes away and everyone is more or less on a level playing field. That would be awesome but wonât happen⦠ever. It wonât happen because all indicators point to a staggering increase in revenue since the hanger strength based matchmaking was ditched for leagues.
From a technical sense, tanking could be fixed overnight. From a business sense it canât be.

Whenever I run an Every Bot War one of the things I track is whether the game is thrown by tankers/seal clubbers. Well, it seems I didn’t in the 2021 War. In general, where I’m at in the MM, it seems like 4 out of 10 matches are ruined this way. My data bears this out. Yes, I know I have a problem. chuckles. Is everything ok at home mate?

Yes, I know I have a problem.
Dude, your problem is everyone else's asset. Keeping actual data on this is priceless because Pixonic would never, ever, give out such statistics. Thanks a million for doing that.
