I’m building my first Invader. I’ve been researching mods and am struggling to find consensus.
Seems like the three camps are HAKs, Balanced, and Repair Amps.
The Repair Amps obviously help with healing and eventually grey damage, but I wonder about the build up.
What’re pros and cons here?

Tbh you cant really go wrong doing one of any combos of HAKs, BUs, and RAs. I personally tend to keep RAx2 and a NA, but really any combo will perform pretty well, but if you have at least one RA to throw in there would be good if you can.

so I have a little bit of down time, I can run through some of the basics i have in my main hangar. granted I use one to test out new builds an such, the other three have been set for a while. Back when I found this forum, and folks were still adjusting to pilot skills, and drone chips, I had 079 look over my hangar and he gave me a ton of great info I used to build my perfect spider nest. current lineup- 1 invader, 2 arachnids mk2.6 to 2.9, with 1 invader mk3 1. fainter 1.7, 2x sheriff magnetars 2.4....This is my tester mk2.6, i change it up time to time to test out new wep combos or see what maybe got a silent buff 2. radiation weps(blight, hazard 2.4 each) 3. shotties, mace/cudgel 2.4 4. FLAMES!!! Honorable mention, SONICS, always fun. all are currently setup the same, maxed NA BU, RA all run Nebula drones, except for the arachnid with shotties, has whiteout. All have t4 chips, mostly repair chips or to tank it out more, defense defense defense. all have Stanislov Chen, except for the flaming spider, she has Raphael Petit, 30% more fire spread. All pilots are colonel. i always let a few nerf/buff cycles go around before I settle in on a regular build, so I have a few pilots i'm waiting to see how they look after this pilot rebalance, then look again in about a month or 2 before I decide to level up a special ability pilot besides Chen. All also run regular repair, They are tanky enough I dont really need the adv repair. Best of luck, let us know how it goes, post pics an stats. cheers. EDIT** I should mention, i usually am in the m1/low champs leagues, never been higher than 5100 cups, dont really dip below 4900 or so. Stiff competition, but tons of fun, tough matches. I made it a point early on to pick a good pilot, Chen, and modules to level up and max out first. The bots I left next, with weps last, since they are always coming ut with new stuff I may like.

Right now, my 2 RAs are split between my Blitz and Mender. 3 NAs are with the Blitz (2) and Mender. My little fella has some growing to do before I let him go try to catch some flies.

Offensive builds work well with 2x NA / 1 RA, most builds 2x HAC / 1 RA or 2x BU /1 RA. 1/1 HAC/BU is fine as well, RA is more important to Invader builds because you want staying power. The 2x NA builds work best with Trixie and on repair damage/defense chips and is more 1 Vs. 1/2 oriented, leaping in to attack/suppress as a target hunter. The defensive builds are better for holding territory or TDM.
Best of luck!

Not willing to steal from them for this as much as I’m curious about capability. As it is, I had to steal from my second Strider for this. This is a temporary situation, methinks. For one, very undergunned at the moment.

Invader (and probably also Revenant) is basically the only bot that running Heavy Armor Kit over RA or BU is actually worth considering, so if you have a couple of those lying around and don’t have anything better, there you go!

Currently running one Repair Amp, one Nuke Amp, and my lone Immune Amp and am liking it.
All I need is a Mender or two to stack up all my grey health and I’ll be happier than a pig in poo. Where’s Bob Dylan when we need him? 😃

Where’s Bob Dylan when we need him? 😃 Currently running 2x BU / 1x RA. Eddie Knoll - Cudgel/Mace with shot grouping for Cudgel (grouping 2 weapons instead of just 1 Mace), Wonder worker / Mechanic / Nebula. Tends to be uber tanky, not so good at speedy small targets but NEVER fails to give titans a hard time or other tanks.
