So I’m experimenting with a Nucleon/Devastator Weyland. I’m trying to sort out passive modules.
I’d think that Heavy Armor Kit is the way to go, but figured I’d ask the masses. What say you? Am I overthinking it?

When i ran it, used Last Stand, 2 HAks or 1 CU. The latter helps (once) to get into position when u drop on contested beacon without taking insane dmg. The switch duration between modes is killing imo, If it would be 1 sec the bot would benefit a lot. It’s a fun bot to play that can take a hammering, esp with a defensive drone. I use it mobile most and than either take moment to heal or move to fight and heal. AH is must imo, helps to keep mobile.

Advanced healing, sry it should be advance repair
If you play Dom I’d say walking is important therefor I’d try the advanced repair for in transit healing, HAKs and/or CU. Maybe jump unit instead of repair but I think you’ll suffer once engaged, heavent tried JU myself.

yes, you want the HP because you're a regen tank. Weyland can be a trip, it's like a really really slow bleed because your HP stays up just your threshold bleeds out.
First 2 skills are a must, true ace and the DR.
it will typically take 3 or more reds to sack a good one
basic repair of course. you don't even want advanced because the duration is shorter and you won't need that much hp back anyway.

I find that AR can absorb a heavy salvo of dmg, e.g. heavy cryo, and weyland heal will catch up and ur good to go for another round to defend beacon dealin boosted dmg. I never use basic repair module actually bc of this on my bots. M2c

I prefer AR, bc with PS they stop firing and u get the load afterwards, with AR they keep firing bc they think u will die, which u wont and u kill them. PS is ok for weak bots, for heavy bots I think AR is better.

I use 3 nuclear reactors with lock down. I have two maxed tempests and my Weyland is level 10 MK II. Basil, true ace, road hog, master gunsmith and, speed shooter and sharp shooter for tempests rounds it out. My philosophy is my best defense is to maintain distance with the enemy, but still be able to hurt them at that distance. I like to lock down titans, especially mings, or any dangerous bot for that matter and let my tempests do their thing. It’s my favorite bot/set up because it’s versatile. I like to use old bots, I have an MK II Raijin with MK II avengers and an overdrive unit. Keeps me in Expert which is fun. Maybe this’ll give you some ideas for your Weyland.

I’ve put weyland back in the team yesterday using max Last Stand, OU lvl1, CU lvl1. Works very well. Admittedly I spam the AR but combined with 1.12 redeemers and OU it dishes out good dmg and can hold out. best game was this one, where we were in a balanced game but slowly getting the advantage. Then 3 reds came in for our home so weyland spawned in and killed 1 phantom and crippled a Tfalcon that was taken out by the inspawning reinforcements. Had 20k health left after and no room to heal The CU is important in BR bc when u drop in the beacon it still needs to move onto it, so in this case with 3 reds they cannot cripple u before setting up, or freeze so u r stuck outside the beacon.
