In the interest of continual improvement, I'm considering improvement for my FU Hanger. I currently have 3 Marquesses, 1 Dragoon, and 1/4 of a Marquess via components. My Marquesses are mounted on a Blitz (reg pilot) and the Dragoon is on a Lance I'm going to be replacing in the lineup.
As I was evaluating some of my options, I was weighing the benefits of a Dragoon/Marquess vs completing a 4-Marquess Blitz. While looking at the numbers for the Marquess and Dragoon on the wiki, I noticed that it seems like 2 Marquesses out-damage a Dragoon for everything (burst damage, DPS, continuous DPS). The discharge rate is equivalent with the only difference seeming to be the reload of the Marquess is 1/2 sec slower.
In reality, it sure seems like 2 Marquesses > 1 Dragoon assuming equivalent levels. Is this accurate?

I really enjoying Goon builds.
Great for bots that like to sit back and watch from a creepy distance and pew mother 「fluffernutter」er away.

Just glancing at it, I'm not sure the math is right. The description says the Marquess deals "about half" the damage of the Dragoon, but the tables don't reflect that. I'm not that positive about how the table calculations are done, though, so just qualify me as skeptical.

Unfortunately, I don't have the ability to do my own testing or I'd go run some checks. Sadly, I haven't found anything on the wiki, youtube, or discord that has shed any light on things.

Marquess shoots almost twice as fast and has double the clip size. Assuming the wiki info is correct, which it probably is, then 2 Marquess can deal 25% more damage than 1 same leveled Dragoon. The thing is Marquess and Dragoon cost the same to upgrade so it’ll cost you twice as much to level 2 Marquess instead of the 1 Dragoon.
I don’t understand the intent of an FU hangar but if it’s to have highest damage then more Marquess is better than fewer Dragoons. My consideration would be more on what type of hardpoints I’m most interested in putting this type of weapon on.

My consideration would be more on what type of hardpoints I’m most interested in putting this type of weapon on. Understood, however, I have some flexibility for what I put to use. I'm trying to get an accurate gauge to let facts drive the outcome rather than preload the evaluation by introducing bias.

When the Marquess was first introduced I compared it to the Dragoon. At that time, I believe it had exactly 1/4 the damage and twice the fire/reload rate making two Marquess equivalent to one Dragoon in firepower. Since then (based on the wiki) it looks like the Marquess had damage increases of 20% and 10% while the Dragoon was only increased by 5%.

Poopface something you might consider I run in one account, that is a
Zeus/Marquess Natasha. I do have 2 hangars in that one, so it is mainly for the
larger maps and sometimes Shen.
Edit: I don't have any Dragoons in that one and I'm too lazy to use WS to build any.

If I were to come back to the game and wanted to build a FU hangar, I'd use Stings and Wasps. Stings are actually quite fun to use and cheap to upgrade. I think the last bot I had them on was my Ao Qin and it did quite well in the right circumstances. I don't have many Wasps - only 2 I think (its been a while), but, they're easy to use and have a quick reload. If I were to come back, I think I would put them with Pulsars on a Spectre or maybe with Stings on a Raven. Over and over, we've seen that range is a very good tactic to use against new META stuff.
Hussars are supposed to be almost as powerful as Dragoons, but they are expensive in time and silver to upgrade, which is why I preferred Pulsars since I already had a number of them decently leveled. Still, Hussar paired with Marquess is pretty good on a Raven.
As for Dragoons, I've only ever had 3 and they served me very well on a Falcon. The Dragoon Falcon was one of my best builds. Stick RH on it and it gets enough of a speed boost to help it get back into cover faster.
As for Marquess, I've tried quad Marquess and I just didn't feel they had much punch. I think I did use them after they got buffed, but at L8, I didn't see much improvement so I normally just use them as side arms to larger weapons. I found quad Stings to be the better, funner and more FU'ish build.

Slowly building up a Viper/Sting Rayker and I had to buy the Stings for this experiment.
Regarding use of Marquess, I have three (two at 1/7, one at 1/6) plus a 1/6 Spark on the Blitz. It does respectable damage vs Master/Expert where I'm playing right now. Obviously, not fantastic but enough that I do get targeted attacks on occasion and can reliably get people into hiding with it. It's my most dependable mech in the FU hanger right now.

It is a nice build. Maybe one day

Can confirm that a Sting/Hussar Raven is a hoot. I power-leveled the Stings to Mk2L12; the Hussars are at either 9 or 10 and back-burnered now due to being expensive. But they work.

Goon and marquess are really nice on the Rayker. I use stings b/c I'm a cheap skate, but you have the Marquess! Glance and weapons all reach 600m. You can really troll mings.
Not sure what that leaves for your Blitz, maybe punishers for a while?

Try running a Leetch with Wasp.... I'd love to. Unfortunately, I have no Wasps and don't have a Leech. One of the casualties of my getting frustrated and quitting the game for ~6 months was that I missed the Leech meta when they started handing those out in operations.

Not sure what that leaves for your Blitz, maybe punishers for a while? Welp, that would leave my remaining Marquess, the two Stings (currently on the Rayker), and my lone Spark.
