Hi all,
thinking of getting a tablet - ANDROID, War Robots and general use. What would you recommend?
cheers.
It appears only the British identify tablet and iPads as different things. Guess it's like Chinese for lime and lemon (same thing in Chinese)

Though about running both, get the dailies done in a couple of hours, but upgrades take days, thought the android one could be for play testing things and not use my league account.

I hear the nivida shield k1 is a good one still. Cost is good at $200 new. I got the pixel c because it has another good nivida chip (x1) in it. Kind of pricey tho.

Sounds good, how's it like for running War Robots? Any issues with it? also, how long have you had it? Does it run as good as new. I had / have an hp slate, but it's near a decade old, so it's super slow with everything.

The pixel c? It's a powerhouse for games. Has stereo speakers also. One on each side. I bought it new a few weeks ago. It's running Android nougat. I was only wanting a tablet for games so this is what I picked. I don't think there is a more powerful Android gaming tablet to date yet. There might be, but not by much if so. Some say the new Galaxy tab s3 will have similar graphics ablities. But I really doubt it after doing some benchmarks on the x1 vs the Snapdragon 820. I haven't had any weird quirks like stated on the marshmallow os prior. It does lack some things I've gotten spoiled on. Like a fingerprint ID. I have even streamed games off my desktop to it using moonlight & nivida experience. That was neat.

You're right about pricey, but damn it's big. Looks like something to get. Thanks

Pixel C is great but expensive. Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is even more expensive. I personally played War Robots through an assortment of tablets, some I decided to retire: nVidia Shield, Nexus 9, Google Pixel C. I feel that the nVidia chips get a bit warm for my taste. I also and currently play now on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8" model; the Galaxy Tab A late 2016 model, the SMT-580, and the Asus Zenpad 3S 10. I got the Galaxy Tab S2 for $259 on sale. Non discounted price can set you around $349. The Samsung SMT-580 and the Asus Zenpad 3S 10 sets around $299. While both can play War Robots, the Zenpad 3S 10 is overall, a much superior tablet and can be regarded as among the best dollar to the buck Android tablets today. The only issue I ever had with it was during installation, where you have to give the app the permission for storage access, a bit finicky on the security measures. Lately I have been testing and playing War Robots on a number of Chromebooks. Acer R11, aka C738T. Acer R13 Asus C302CA Samsung Chromebook Plus Would probably run on the Asus Chromebook Flip, but it has a weaker ARM processor than the other Chromebooks. Two of the Chromebooks mentioned above run on Intel processors, the Asus C302CA runs on an Intel M3. Some of these require setting the Chromebook to the beta channel to initiate the Google Play store. On the SCP, it is enabled by default. The screens ranged from 11.5" to 13.3" in size. I love playing War Robots on Chromebooks for the immense view. These are touchscreens so I don't use any gamepad. I just use the touchscreens. You can set the Chromebook on a regular laptop fashion or flip them into tablet mode. Considering that the market for Android tablets are declining, but Chromebooks are fast rising, its a healthy time to consider running War Robots on a Chromebook. While I have tested War Robots to run on these Chromebooks successfully, other Android games are more fickle. For example, Fire Emblem Heroes won't run on the devices with an Intel processor. Of the ones I mentioned, I would say for running Android games and apps, the Samsung Chromebook Plus is the best one, and at $449 would set you off cheaper than a Google Pixel C or the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3. And you get a productivity device as well as something that you can use in school especially if your school already uses Chromebooks. The device in question has a 12.5" screen with 2400 x 1600 resolution. www.samsung.com/us/computing/chromebooks/12-14/xe513c24-k01us-xe513c24-k01us/The processor is a 2GHz hexacore one, which Google brands as the OP1 processor, optimized for ChromeOS, but is really the Rockchip 3399 according to some. That means two ARM A72 cores and four A53 cores with an ARM MALI T860MP4 GPU. So far I have yet to see this chip on a tablet but it has appeared on TV boxes, likely Android TV based.

$450? U could buy a ps4 and a second hand TV for that price! All just to play a second rate f2p game without lag... Makes no sense.

The original 10.5" Galaxy Tab S is still the best screen available on ANY tablet (or "iPad"), runs War Robots well, and can be had used for well under US$200. Probably the best bang for buck choice, and the 2560x1600 16:10 Super AMOLED screen looks just amazing. Tab S2 and S3 have a bit more graphics powers, but less screen resolution, worse aspect ratio, and cost as much as SEVERAL times more. Tab S is a classic and a sleeper bargain these days...

The original poster has most likely made their decision long ago. The best way to peruse this forum is to use the ‘Recent’ tab on the top left. That way you can comment on the topics we are talking about now rather than bumping up a thread that is already 6 months old. You’ll probably have more fun that way and you’ll spare yourself the wrath of the other forum members who have a strong aversion to necroposting lol

A tablet that blocks the war robots app. Hopefully BoT will be a half decent replacement for war robots when it comes out.
