My own clan seems to be in two minds about the idea. Mostly negative.
What's the opinon of putting a single ancille popper on a DB Griffin? Proposed idea would be to corner shoot the ancille to bring it down before unleashing the orkans (+ single pinata).
How does it compare to aphids for taking out ancilles?
Knowing that the usage will be limited and most of the time it will be a slightly weaker DB griffin.
I do like the idea of only having one button or the big red button.

I use an Orkan/Punisher Griffin and it will completely remove an Ancile --- just fire them separetly with a 5-7 second delay if you are noticing lag. Its easy to get them to level 10 or level 11 too --- tremendous bang for the buck. You can try quad Punisher Griffs, but I found the Orkans gave better outcomes once the distances got under 200m.
A single Punisher won't work. You'll need to have both Punishers to zero out AND maintain the regen at zero.
Use the dual Punishers at stand off distances to knifers (350+ meters) and you'll bleed off enough HP to get closer to that 80-90K limit that your level 11 or level 12 dual Orks can dish out ---- and then either jump in an cripple/kill them or retreat to let them taste another salvo of Punishers.
You won't see dual Mags, Aphids, or Pinatas the same way after using dual light Punishers. I thank the Ancilot for making me try the Punishers and the gun buff just made the choice easier to make. This combo makes Springfield/Yamantau enjoyable, as I can fight knifer and mid-rangers with just a jump (or two) --- you won't get that sick feeling that you are motoring a long way in a knifer (and the Orkan/Punisher Griff is a true knifer) just to enter a meat grinder of red MRS or Ancilots.

I gather that at orkan appropriate ranges that molots wouldn't take them down as quickly?
I can try both.

Don't use Rhino so far, but doesn't it suit better for this task? You have to stay exposed with Punishers, so at least you're shielded until you get Ancile down...

I hate rhino for magnums and think i would have similar issues with punishers. But it might be a go against taran ancilot specifically.
All rock paper scissory.

Dual Molots can't zero out any full strength Ancile or internal energy shield and they can't bleed off physical shield HP enough to cause a BritBot to change its course or take cover. This means the Orkan/Molot Griffin cannot directly take on the same bots that the Orkan/Punisher Griffin and that's it's playing tactics are completely different. I can go solo (without blue support) in an Ork/Pun Griff, but I can't with an Ork/Molot Griff. That doesn't make the Molots useless, it just means that you have to target different bots and that you have to run the Ork/Molot in a clear support/team manner (something that almost all randoms and clans that don't use comms don't do very well). Bottom line is that I also run an Orkan/Molot Griff along with my Orkan/Punisher Griff --- this is my answer to Ancilots and the fact that I play all maps as a random. If I was squading as a norm, I'd most likely not run an Orkan/Molot Griff, as a full Molot Griff or a Fury are better choice. I would keep the Orkan/Punisher Griff even if squading.

Thanks for the insight, T.A.S. This mirrors the experience with 2x Puns and an Ork on my gala... I obviously can't kill as quick in it... but up close those Puns are nasty... and even pre-Buff I took a post-ancile buff, pre-ancile regen nerf fujin's shield down with just 2 level 9s. The orks plus the Puns took it out pretty quickly after. The Galahad shield works better for Puns, as you can stand a bit of sustained fire in the open, but it deffo won't kill the big boys as easily. It is better as a support bot than a solo killer, unless you play very guerilla-type tactics. Which was what I was forced to do a few times. however, it's a good combo, Puns and Orks.
