I'd like to get a discussion going around a topic I Haven't really seen a lot of content on: clans.
Some people find clanning to be an indispensable part of their War Robots experience. For others, there's more enjoyment to be had in going the way of the Lone Wolf.
So here are a few points to hit.
If you are happy in your clan, what is your clan doing right? What would you like to see more of?
If you are unhappy in your clan, what are they doing wrong? What are the missing ingredients that would make you happy where you are?
If you are not in a clan but are considering it, what are the key factors in your decision? What are you looking for in a clan?
If you're happier to go it alone, what is driving that decision? Had bad experiences? Just like to do your own thing?
It seems to me that with the new league point distribution seeming to push collective activity, it might be a good time to take the pulse of the community. Let's hear your thoughts!

My last clan had a thing about squading, I found some of my best games with the group and once I got a good win streak going I played for a month straight in squads only. I do miss the group fights and not having to worry about who was collecting beacons. The things they did right was to plan the battles, when a new player came in they were told how we worked the map and bot setups. The one thing I didn't care for was the focus on player trophies, wanting to be in the top 100 was always the push. Now that I am a more casual player there is no way I am pushing 1000 trophies. The next clan I look for will be one that focuses on beer/weed, fun and laughs for each match.

I joined simply to see what it was all about. Made a couple of friends and we chat between battles, but oddly enough, we all prefer solo... guess it's less embarrassing to get your tail kicked in front of strangers. Last I checked we were in the top 100. Even broke into the 40's once.
Don't think our clan uses voice comms. Wouldn't want to wake the kids up at 3am yelling, HELP! I've fallen and I can't get up!... at my age it's a distinct possibility.
I stay because they let me, and I contribute 1500 - 1800 cups on average. I get to talk to buddies, the clan gets my cups. It's all good.

my clan is real chill, a portion of us like to squad and a portion likes to run solo, doesn't matter. It basically a place for everyone to talk shop in group chat in between games if people have questions about something.

Love my clan. My first clan was fine, but EVERYONE was of some Latin denomination and spoke mostly spanish, which I speak zero. Then my second clan, I found some personalities to be vexing, and all that does is accumulate, but I found a friend or 2 so that was fine. My third and current clan I am utterly content. We are good at what we do, especially together, we just click. I know they have my back, and I have theirs. Just.... it's right. You know it when you know it, Yanno? ?

I like mine just fine. Good group and community. We've got poets and writers, guys who pull all nighters. Old Man and a Tike, one who rides a bike. Veagans and meat eaters, no cheaters. Aussies n Americans, others from farther away lands. Fans of heavies and light, always ready to fight. The young n the old, the brave n bold.

My cup count dipped below 200 this week and I only fulfill my Au tasks.
The matches since League started are GREAT (and very challenging) when it's a real 6-vs-6, but too many matches are not 6-vs-6 -- and I gain no enjoyment in losing or winning short handed matches. This lack or enjoyment in short matches has killed my motivation to play more and I'm in wait-n-see play mode as I hang on to see if Pix addresses the current issues.
While I wait, I don't think I can justify holding down a clan spot with such low cup production.

Met my clan in game. Liked the guys I fought with in some random squad games, and accepted the clan invite. Had always worked alone to that point.
The good: Really good players. Very cool guys. The max guys are 100% committed to playing w everyone, and no one ever gets left out of squads.
Also, no one pressures u to squad or discord. It's there, but not mandated which is nice.
Finally, the clan has a good code. No tanking. No messing around.
The downside: Sometimes, you just want to have fun. Not be 100% on point all the time. Clan life can make that difficult. Also, I feel guilty not playing more. I maintain 500/600 cups, but some guys have 1500/2000. So there's that.
Cheers!

I was thinking of joining. But, got to thinking. Been in groups for other games. I'm a 「wee-wee」. And when others say, "hey, your being a 「wee-wee」. and I say your point is?" It's not appreciated.

The joy of playing whenever I want with the way I want. That's why I am clanless.

I hate the way the MM does not alow me to play with my mates. I joind a clan and they helped me with my game. I reworked my hanger and playing style with their help. Now i want to mentor the newer players but they will just get distoryed if they play with me.
Playing with my mates was one of the best parts of the game. Our clan would play for hours, players would shift in and out. Sometimes we would have multiple squads running because we had too many players. We built a community of players, we would schedule times to meet up and squad. I knew when the other players liked to play and try to be on the same time as them.
The new MM has destroyed most of this. We no longer run in large squads. We do not play together very much. Only in ones and twos. It is sad. Good players are leaving us.

Clan Reddit sing songs worthy of Valhalla. Our bots smell like new cars. We have infallible leadership. Some or none of this is probably true. Unbiased too.

Im currently an officer im my clan that is populated with regular (FB Cnnected) pilots and irregulars (non socially connected pilots) and find lots of diverse, interesting peopke to regularly pkay alongside of.
I have made several friendships due to War Robots that have surpased the game and will remain always thankful for.
I feel respected and listened to in my clan and feel equal to everyone else despite hangar or skill level.

You didn't have an Other option. I chose 'could be better'. But I'm the leader. ?
I created my clan as a safe place for my kids, nephews and a few of their friends to be able to easily squad together and so I wouldn't have to worry about inappropriate language in the clan chat. As a parent, I LOVE that there's no in game communication in War Robots.
We have 14 members. Life was good. Then the changes. Now only my godson (junior in college) and I are really active. My son still plays a bit. My brother and another kid every now and again. Everyone else has zeroed out. I recently suggested to my nephew that maybe I should transfer leadership to my phone acct and he and my main should jump ship to another clan so that we would have more opportunities for squad play. Perhaps Aurora Nova iOS? It would need to be a non-hyper-competitive clan. He's thinking about it. We haven't used Discord or Line b/c generally we just talk on the phone when we squad.
We'd need to figure out a way to easily squad with my son and brother though. I've just been too lazy so far to test various options. Anyway, there's my take.
