Facing off last thread Dissecting the Titans, it quickly gained popularity and 'karma', succeeding to the next level. There have been many ideas I wanted to dunk in, but we got many things to cover because of the updates; we already have done the Titans, and the Leech. The Cyrogenic Weapons do not look worthy to overlook, so let's dive in the newest robots other than the mystic Leech: Behemoth and Phantom.
Behemoth:
Wanted a 4 heavy weapon robot? Wanted a robot that doesn't have to switch 2 weapons for other 2 weapons? It never existed until the day that the robot was born. Behemoth is a heavy machine so dangerous it can pound an Ares with its special reserve, 4 heavy weapons. That's right, folks. 4 heavy weapons. This Fury's older brother has a large frame, holding 128K health at level 1, tougher than his little brother, and clocking around 34 km/h, slower than Fury by 1 km/h. That means Behemoth is a tank filled with powerhouse style. It is most recommended to use this gargantuan beast in support/sniper mode since its Siege ability resists moving around. Yep, that's one major weakness.
Countering It:
1. Behemoth is a dangerous robot. Being a skinny, fast robot might outrun or dodge its attacks, but you cannot run forever. Having 4 Avengers can shred anything down its mount. Remember, any combo it uses can provoke instantaneous death.
2. It's got a large frame and slow speed. Using your bullet spread can have it gather more hits, and using deadly abilities will make the heavy giant not have enough time to run. Lock-downs can make it sit still too.
3. Using the maps around you is one major advantage. Behemoth moves slow, and once in Siege mode, it becomes vulnerable to any open-spaced attacks.
4. Run dangerous robots or weapons strong enough to withstand its dominance on firepower. Leech, Ao Jun, and an Ares can down it, unless the opponent's got Phase Shift, Quantum Radar, or Shieldbreaker.
5. When the Titans comes in live, Behemoth is nothing mere a pest. Arthur, Kid, or Ming can smash it(literally).
Using It:
1. Using sniper/support/ambush unit can make your robot better use to increasing its suitability and damage income. Quad-Trebutchet combo is a nasty surprise. If you are not patient, get yourself Zenits. Make sure to have Lock-down ammo, that way, you will get a hella lots of fun when your enemies are in groups.
2. Be wary that Behemoth is slow, so dash robots might overcome this beast. Try to time your hits correctly, lock-down them, or get yourself a teammate to go by.
3. If you despise being the recommended units, for brawling unit, you might need to save up your golds. Last Stand helps your robots live longer, along with Phase Shift to escape.
4. Your Siege Mode is the most vulnerable part of the Goliath robot. Check your surroundings before pinning your feet to the ground to pouch up the 4 heavy hardpoints style.
Phantom:
Ah, the fast and quick robots. Dashers made their game, dodging enemy blows, and capping beacons. But there's one thing: would it be cool for a robot the ability to teleport? We got one right here: Phantom, a small robot that looks innocent and cute on the outside, but packs scary actions in the inside. Zooming 60km/h and the armor thick with 96K, this tiny robot can boost up with the Blink mode, leaving a teleportation device and roaming the battlefield with an unknown amount(probably 22%?) and handling the core with damage resistance of 33% from incoming damage.
Countering It:
1. Upon finding this one in the battlefield, it will mess things up. Known to be tough and durable despite being small, it can quicken the impact with its 1 medium and 2 light weapons. It is best to have speed and thick armor to survive an activated Phantom.
2. 33% damage resistance will weaken even the most powerful weapons, so you might need to hide. If not, FIGHT. Don't just sit around and have that boi thiccen your pain up.
3. Be wary that when it activates its ability, it can fool you. Absorber shielding, Stealth modes, and explosive abilites can get triggered to destroy the robot, and Phantom can teleport away, having you waste your abilities. Try testing the opponent with one of your weapons, to ensure it wasn't activated.
4. Watch it carefully. If it runs normally as usually and suddenly it fastens up, it activated Blink. Remember its location so when Phantom teleports, turn to that direction to surprise your foe.
5. Lock-down weapons can secure the robot from moving, but it can still teleport. No matter, since your teammates can save its health for later battle.
6. 1 medium hardpoint and 2 light weapons is enough to make a significant blow to any opponent. Be careful when facing one of these. 2 Halos/Corona is the deadliest combo for Phantom, as for hit-run tactic always made victory on slow, powerful robots.
Using It:
1. Having one doesn't mean you are invincible. Absorber hits and Dragon Breaths can destroy a Phantom. Consider going after weak robots or robots that are not meta, like a Natasha.
2. Map surroundings is the welcoming gift for teleportation spots. For Dreadnought, you can place your device from the edge of the hole, and drop down to hit enemies, and return to your spot. Continuing so will irritate them, which is both good and bad. Everyone will getcha, but silver is good.
3. Lockdown weapons can seduce your robot, unless you have Anti-Control, or Phase Shift, or your device was already planted. None above=dead metal.
4. Phantoms are very dangerous to damager robots. An Ares, Spectre, or a Ao Jun can pose a serious threat to that robot, but they also have weak armor. Get your gear clocking and beam them up to their hangers.
5. Do not get over-confident. Pilots will get used to Phantom hits and eventually will find a way to bring you down. Outsmart them if you can.
6. Never target a enemy with other enemies. You will get noticed and many will get you in a death-wish. Find a lone bot and hunt it down. It's like cat and mouse.
When the two robots get to Workshop, it is best to get Phantom. Sure, it costs alotta silver, but Behemoth won't be effective to all robots it will encounter. Leech can bring these two down, but Phantom's got better chance to survive longer. Remember pilots, it doesn't matter what robot is the hardest, strongest, or fastest. It matters to your brain. Mixing brain and brawl together, you get Professor Hulk
I need your help, guys, to decide the next topic. So many ideas and blaaaaa, dunnow what to pick. Say anything and I will put the best ones to a poll.
