In my opinion yes. Redeemer, Avenger and Glacier builds are superior in my book.

Or is there a better setup for Ao Jun? Glory on Jun is good. You can quickly close the gap while flying, to be in a range where the weapon deals a lot of damage at has a chance of lock down. My Glory is on my Strider, but you’re fine with ANY good heavy weapon on Jun: Ember, Avenger, Redeemer, Viper or Glory. Thunder is fine too. Probably glacier as well.

I didn't know it was the META. Thought Avenger / Ember /Redeemer and Viper were all better.

Redeemer is the best, i think. Glory is fine, altho i'd not run it over the options that i personally have available to me. I'm looking at making a 3rd ao jun with redeemers to go with my avengers and embers.
But glory is fine, if that's what you have.

This is my Ao Jun Hunter. Fight fire w fire? Nah, I’ma fight fire w ICE. But Glory can work well too. And at same flying altitude, Glory prob doesn’t need Quantum Radar to dog fight w Red AJs.

The problem with the Glory Ao Jun is that you've got to get closer to a leech to be real effective. Well, 4 outta 5 leeches are running quad shotguns that are BRUTAL at close range. So I think the Glory set up puts you in too close with all the leeches running around... at least in "meta" play. I'm running calamity still on an Ao Jun which melts leeches quick from a distance. Kind of bored with the setup but i still run it for sniping leeches. Also redeemers are good but not as effective with tankier bots. Redeemer is also strong as a leech counter since a couple pulses and the leech is in last stand. And still you can't really go wrong with avengers.

When was it ever meta?
Frankly speaking, I have faced more glory falcons than a glory Ao Jun.

I didn't know it was the META. Thought Avenger / Ember /Redeemer and Viper were all better. Almost no one use glory on Jun in champ. It’s just not a good setup for Jun IMO. Glory need close range to deal dmg and more importantly, to lock down. You exactly do not want to be too close when piloting Jun. because you have to be prepare to land in cover and have to constantly watch out for LR/MR sniper with Quantum Radar. I rock 2 Avenger Ao Jun. Just a single one of these bad boys can deal 1+mi dmg if you are careful.

Glory is definitely very strong at very close range (under 100m?). If that your thing, then go for it. Or else Redeemer, Avengers, Ember on Ao Jun pretty deadly.

I've noticed a lot of Ao Jun's are starting to use the Viper and Avenger setup. Where they have one viper and one Avenger. I guess they are covering all of there bases with Leech...lol!

Glory Ao Jun is one of the most powerful setups. Yep, it’s still meta by lockdown and corrosion effect.

Or is there a better setup for Ao Jun? My clan has me running into a lot of whales. I run 3 Au jun - glory, avenger, calamity. I scrapped embers and redeemer as the least effective of the big 6 heavy weapons for my playstyle, even though I had them leveled to 12 whereas my glories and calamities are only at 11. I find the champion league meta involves a lot of bots that are effective at getting well inside of 350 so I like a weapon that is effective at more ranges than just 300-350. Have not tried the ice cannons yet. I have two of them, but it’s hard for me to justify leveling 2 more heavy weapons when I already have 7 pairs of good ones.

As stated, Redeemer is the alpha build, it’s not way better than other builds, but it is better. I’ve run a single Glory on Jun, with the other side being Ember, Avenger or Redeemer. All of them were fine, no single build stands way out. I run 2 Juns, one Ember/Ember, and I empty one tank at a time to have continuous fire, and another with Redeemer/Avenger. Much more important than weapon nuances are the timing of your attacks, landing in a safe location, not getting over exposed, capping as needed etc. In view of this, Ao Jun is open to most heavy weapons, except the obvious bad ones.

Back to Glory, it really shines as a CQC brawler, not exactly the Ao Jun’s forte. Redeemers are best once you get used to that irritating 1/2s firing delay.
