Think about it. Instead of making it by default better than the standard skin and other variations, why not alter how the robot functions?
Ao Jun (Polar) - change to Cryo Breath; max range of 300 meters. + Breath loses DOT damage but inflicts Cryo damage, at 75% accumulation rate at max rank. - Flight speed reduced by 15%.
Fujin (Royal) - Sentry's onboard Ancile is converted to an Aegis shield. + Shield recharges while in transport. - Shield no longer regenerates while active. - 10% durability reduction.
Ao Guang (Robobot) - Dragon's Fangs change from homing missiles to direct fire splash missiles (Tulumbas type). Weapon range remains the same (500 meters). +Missiles acquire splash radius (identical to Tulumbas). +50% damage bonus to onboard weapon. -Reduced onboard weapon clip size (12 missiles from 26). -Damage reduction during ability duration lowered by 30% (50% total).
Inquisitor (Marine) - Descend provides 30% damage resistance in exchange for Stealth. + Kyle's Gizmo offers doubled regeneration rate during ability duration. + Health pool is repaired at .35% per second if repairable HP is full. - Stealth removed. - Cannot repair destroyed weapons.
Hades (Soultaker) - Finishing blows regenerate 10% of max HP pool (can repair to full). - 20% durability reduction. - Cannot repair destroyed weapons.
Hades (Commando) - Ability modified; weapons fires 9 shots in rapid succession (up from 3). | Total ability damage is still the same. | + No speed reduction during active ability. + 10% durability bonus. - Shield drops after first stage of ability. - 10% speed reduction.
Nemesis (Desert) - Ability modified; Weapon is converted to short range rocketry (Orkan type). + 20% onboard weapon damage bonus. + No speed reduction while ability is active. - 40% range reduction (300 meters). - 20% cooldown increase (10 seconds).
What do you think?

Those look really cool, I got a couple Falcon-Centurion Reduces DR to 40% Gives a physical shield with health equal to half of the falcon's without and boosts Increases speed by 50% when using ability but loses shield.
Mercury-Ruthless Increase ability damage by 40% Increase weapon damage by 10% Reduce health by 40% Reduce speed by 10%
Loki-Alien Increase ability speed by 30% when in ability Reduce health by 50% Only moves when in stealth When out of stealth gains 33% DR and heals 1% of health per second
Blitz-Overseer Ability changes from shotgun bursts to a laser with the same range. Ability locks on to an enemy dealing 2k damage per second and increasing by 100% every second Ability lasts for 8 seconds Reduces speed by 5% Reduces health by 10%
Fenrir-Midas Reduce DR to 33% Increase health by 20% Increase aegis shield durability by 80%

I think the lag is bad enough. Without adding to it.

I think the lag is bad enough. Without adding to it. How does changing robot stats add to lag? What is this doing here?

I guess your not effected by the lag spikes from all the new BS, but a lot of us are. That's what's my comment is doing here. So 「fluffernutter」 off. Tired of 「dookie」ty game play every time Pix adds new 「dookie」, and takes forever to, maybe, fix half of what was screwed before the next load gets dumped.

I'm not saying I'm not affected, it's been somewhat painful. However, this is merely a bunch of thoughts on how robots can have diversified roles through Ops pass exclusives. Think of it like Team Fortress 's swappableweapons that change what your class does entirely (eg. Demoman/Demoknight).
