Ended up getting my second free Phantom yesterday evening (yay). I know that a lot of people who run Phantom usually use him as the starting robot in a beacon match.
When you're solo, and you're rushing mid in a beacon match. And you realize you're the only one running towards the middle of the map vs two to three reds coming your way. So 2v1 or 3v1.
Do you:
-Press your teleport button and retreat.
OR
-Leerroy Jenkins the middle beacon (aka 1v1 or 1v6, you are rushing mid no matter the numbers)
Your thoughts...

If I've secured the beacon and my invulnerable raider defesne points are win full effect, I whack them with Corona and halos and then teleport.

I will actually drop beacon before i get there go test the waters. If your full health you shouldn’t have any problems w 2 reds.If a 3rd shows do as much damage as you can .(I usually go till i hit laststand) then blink.Always try to look around at map once you blink to see where your gonna go beforehand. But sometimes by the time you get in some damage hopefully someone else shows up for help.

If I can make the beacon, I'll stay as long as I can then teleport. If I can take a Red down first, all the better. If I can secure the beacon first, even better. If I secure the beacon then get waxed, I can spawn nearby and retake the beacon if needed. If the Reds seem to be arriving first, I'll attack until the timer is almost up or I'm at half health then teleport and attack again.

I like you have two. So the first one is Gung Ho and I do everything I can to take a contested beacon with it whether its center or their home flank. I do not "Poof" out. I do use PS and try to hang in there as long as I can. The second Phantom I normally drop 3rd or 4th.
When only running one I did tele out allot and it cost many games. You must fight for those important beacons and getting ahead at the start is always the best move if possible. IMO

Especially if you have two Phantoms or at least one regular Beacon Runner an additional Phantom. I'm guessing you use battleborn x2 for beacon runner Phantom and Heavy Armor Kit for your other Phantom?

I have tried it but between the ability damage reduction and PS I find I would rather run other modules. On my beacon capper/ first bot I run Last Stand, Heavy Armor and AC. On my other I run Thermo Nuke instead of Armor. Oh FYI for a while I ran my HB as first bot and Phatom later. The HB really does still do a good job. IMO

Phantom excels at assassin tactics, beacon steals, and killing, but don’t rush into a 3v1. Flank the enemies, sneak on them and work them down, then grab a beacon when there is less contest. Being afraid to take damage is one thing; being stupid is another

If there's two on center then I'll put a translocator in a safe spot and go in to attack a little and then teleport back. Repeat again and will usually take second guy out.
If it's three on center then I wouldn't go in unless you have health. You should always avoid going into a situation that's you vs two reds... except hit and run with a phantom. Three though, you're asking to die. Odds are with three they're going to split off and chase you down. Especially if there's a phantom or something fast among the three reds.

Stay and fight until I kill at least one red or my health is down to about a third.
Blink out, heal,activate ability, repeat.

Thats what i was trying to say lol Sometimes its before but depends on how much you wanna push it .My laststand is maxed so i still have good bit of health .Im between using the healing and ps. I like running 1 anticontrol..1 battle born ..1 laststand and ps works well for me or 2 battle born 1 laststand

Mid match, stay alive and chip away. Beacons at that point are less important than stretching your hangar (in most games depending on the beacon bar). Opening Bot, never ever leave the key beacon even if it means dying. That gives your team that many more seconds to catch up and secure. I'd be pissed if a blue phantom poofed away from Center Yama and gave it to the reds if I was almost there...
