I'm running Gareth for fun some time in Champ. I'm wondering if you guys will bail out the match if see any legacy bots as first drop? As screenshot, my Gary MK2 is with 120k hp (no passive slot), with durable shield 192K. Don't look down on what other's drop as first bot. The rest of my 4 bots are meta (Phantom, Leech, Ao Jun, etc) Reason is, there is someone who quit the match when he see someone drop legacy bots (especially light bot). Why bail out while you don't know the rest of someone's hangar looks like?  |

JYou’d be stupid if you did. (And many are) i deploy that that Fujin a fair bit first drop for giggles. It’s surprisingly deadly for a bot that has low health and a crippling special ability . im always wary of legacy in champion. It could mean they they are quite skilled. I make it a point to remember any legacy pilot who kills me. Usually they are a force to be reckoned with.  |

I only bail when my connection is wonky. I only give my teammates a quick glance to find the best path around them. To each his own.

I would not bail. Gareth served me well as my primary beacon go getter on my way to champ. He is decently fast. A bit squishy, but fun. I still run him now and again. Saw bb in him yesterday.

In general, no. Big difference between Champ and diamond. Also big difference between Gareth and Cossack/Destrier.
I appreciate good legacy bots, played with skill, but when I'm drowning in Red meta bots, I might have some choice words if you can't pull it off.

I never bail, but I do take note of the first drop handicaps. LIl Gary is not one of them, imo. It can be quite effective at helping secure a critical beacon.
But other bots....well, I saw a Spiral Bolt the other day and knew we were doomed.

 This player runs 3 Gareth in Champion league, and he is one of the best players I've met on Gameroom/Steam. Always glad to see him as my teammate. |

Heck no I never drop out unless my connection makes me. I do get pissed when I see a bunch of slow arse camping bots drop first on BR mode but other than that its all good. I loved the Gareth and played the crap out of him back when.

I only bail if the other team is a clan that is whooping us straight from the start. I want no part of the whale feeding.
That being said, I wouldn't bail if I saw legacy bots. Typically legacy pilots are unpredictable (idc if we got "pilots" now, how tf they gonna repair their robot AND drive it at the same time? Nah man, those are just co-pilots, we're still the pilots of our mechs idc what pix says).

Also dunno if anybody knows him, he's on Amazon but there is this guy called Carpe Diem, he has a hangar with 4 cossacks in it, but while squadding with him using that hangar, he outscored me and a couple of my clanmates by a lot.

If i see a Gary my Mender got his six (usually my first drop) Right on! I am running 2 Tazer Garys right now and I automatically look for a partner to make a move on a beac, someone who can take out that rocket shooter or fire breathing ?wee-wee?head trying to erase me while I zap whoever is in range. |

High leveled but not necessarily all meta, last I looked at his main one he was running a blitz and hover, but I've also seen him run an ao guang, pursuer, and a few others. Not sure if he has a leech yet though. But high leveled does not mean low skill either. His problem though is he generally plays too aggressively, and because of that I know how to beat him, really tough opponent though, always glad to cross paths. |

Never once. Honestly when I see a legacy on the other team and maybe a meta bot near them I go straight for the meta bot because I have extra respect for those who play legacy bots.

His name is familiar from my Amazon play, which means he played really Gud either as red or blue. I will watch for him so I can see this Cossack magic. ;-) Btw I wouldnt leave because a Legacy bot dropped. I might if a full clan spawned....again. Also sometimes when doing a beacon daily task I will drop if I get a TDM mode match from the random modes. Amazon only has Random or that every bot for themselves mode, FFA. |
