A repeated topic, but I gave multiple options this time.
My favorites are Castle, Canyon, and Yamantau
Castle: There's just a huge scope of options here. Frankly, I really like the concept of crossing the valley. It promotes flying, pushes from either end. Yes, the "center" beacon gets contested heavily, but just as much I've made a push on the other end and gone directly to red's side with success. There's a lot of cover and varying elevations. Also, it's fun as hell tooling around with Hover.
Canyon: For one, the big wall in center is perfect. The whole map is shaped like a bowl, meaning if you fall in, it's more difficult to retreat. There's some cover, not a lot of cover, leaving MR open to pot shots and still giving melee a chance, because you have to melee if you want to grab center. Even LR has some power here, widening the scope of options.
Yamantau: This might seem like a sniper's paradise, but it's not. Center beacon is a vicious battle, it's nearly impossible to hold. Yet, you can drag the fight on by rolling down the sides and distracting reds from the main push. It might seem a little large, but it's nowhere near as large as Springfield, and it's mostly symmetrical, meaning the fight could go either way.

Haha, I picked the same 3 and you summed it up nicely! I feel like these maps let you push for and take the other beacons easily if people are too focused on the centre.

I had a number of runner ups for most liked.
Moon: This is a pretty good map. The choke point here actually makes sense, because it isn't too large and even it has a roof (that you can helldive/overload through). The reason it didn't make top 3 is the edges of the map are a deadzone.
Valley: I really like Valley, I like it a lot. The reason it didn't make top 3 is it seems small yet large. The sides are too vulnerable to aerial, the center is particularly deadly. It's a good map, just not the best. There could have been more done for cover, I wouldn't have made the plateau completely flat.
Power Plant: PP is asymmetrical,so it feels like a living map. There is a lot of well thought out cover and firing lanes. At the same time, the lower basin by the wrecked ship is too far away from the action for non-flyers, with the ramps. Meaning, this often just comes down to flying.
Dead City: This one is a classic. Yeah, I used to hate playing it too often, as it seemed like the most common roll. Nowadays, you don't see it nearly as often. Center isn't too harsh of a dead zone, there's some cover on the perimeter, while having firing lanes. If anything it could use a little more blockage down the side lanes. But center here is actually good, and the map feels like just the right size. Neutral Vote: Rome. I could go this way or that way on Rome. The side beacon city is low cut but complicated and I still don't know it by heart. The other side beacon is woefully plain. That said, I don't mind the map, it just isn't particularly exciting. It seems I play this map a lot (and carrier), so that kind of adds to the dullness. But I like Rome, because the layout is pretty good. There's not much wrong with cover, meaning there's enough and not enough of it. It's just that one plain side that bothers me. Finally, if you grab both sides (and it's very easy to if you get center), this one falls victim to a 4 beacon vs 1 quickly. There's nothing wrong with that, but this one almost never clocks out.

Yam: used to be my bane but now I oddly enjoy the challenges this map presents.
Dreadnought: I enjoy a good scrap on cb.
Castle: another bane turned boon. AJs have their work cut out for them on this map.

Moon/Valley/Dead City, in that order. Moon is hands-down my favorite map b/c there are so many different strategies and the fight is constant and can take many shapes. No map should have a safe, home beacon, and Moon is the closest to that.

I like small maps. Don't know the names of many of them, because for some inexplicable reason, Pix doesn't display the name of the map when you drop in.

Castle. Just the right mix of open terrain and cover.
If you vote for yam or canyon you must camp more than a troop of boy scouts

A repeat topic indeed, but still interesting to see other peoples opinions, and the reason behind it. I think the favorites may change from time to time, depending also on the OP bots at that particular time, and the hangar you are playing. So for now I voted unusually Shenzen, Rome, and Castle. I may just as well have said Powerplant, Dead City (but too many Ao Jun-hiding spots there), and Carrier (though a bit too long perhaps?). Or even Moon or Dreadnought. The variety is what makes it attractive. I hate Yam, but without it, the game would not be the same, and forces us to play a varied hangar.

Didn't need 3 choices, I could play Springfield all day long, that map has it all, brawling, mring, sniping. It's huge and non-simetric, imo, more than any other map it requires a team to win. Its unique, all other maps except jama are pretty much same thing with different color schemes...

I like small maps. Quick to engage in fights, face to face. And like it or not...lol... carrier is my favorite.

Canyon, Valley and Dreadnaught...not necessarily in that order.

Lately, my favorite maps have been the ones that I find the most challenging to stay alive on: Yamantau, Springfield, Canyon, and Carrier. I am finding it fun to figure out how to play these more effectively, which isn’t only about positioning or specific tactics, but how to accomplish the best results with the different gear I have, which is primarily brawlers
