Freedom is one of the biggest gifts on the face of planet earth. Anybody who throws it away for granted is a fool and imbecilic, so thank you to all those who gave their lives for the freedom of others.

Most truly don't know what Freedom is cause they haven't lost it... or been thru hells gates in service of their country....

I'm currently serving with the Guard, but I haven't experienced anything like those who ship overseas. Though in a way I've experienced it a bit through my training. It's hell. I appreciate the post giving thanks and remembrance to all of them.

Please don't forget about the krauts lost in both wars. Remember the good guys like Rommel!
And if you seriously believe that everyone who died on both sides wasn't an absolute pawn, completely disposable and utterly used by their respective governments for their own purposes... Then shucks.
Leo Remembers. Lancelot Remembers too.

Then shucks. Leo Remembers. Lancelot Remembers too. Utterly demeaning and unnecessary. What's demeaning is writing off German losses as something that isnt even worth consideration. They are still warriors who did their jobs. Because they have no souls or feelings and didn't also have families who mourned them. Right?!

My family has about 10% former so active members of the military. This is where I feel where we all come together for mourning and peace. Thank you.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses row on row And in the sky, the larks still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amidst the guns below
We are the dead Short days ago, we lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow Loved, and were loved And now we lie In Flanders fields
Take up our quarrel with the foe To you, from failing hands, we throw The torch, be yours to hold it high If ye break faith with us who lie We shall not sleep though poppies grow In Flanders fields
