After a number of comic failures attempting phase shift ability (due to MOSTLY forgetting that I have the freakin thing loaded), I decided to dedicate ONE HANGAR to all phase shifters. This way I can better remember what I’m supposed to be doing AND hopefully suck less. I KNOW that phase shift has huge potential if used correctly in certain situations, the fact that I’m struggling with it NOW means that it’s def worth the investment in time to get good with it for the FUTURE. This is my CANYON and DREADNOUGHT ONLY hangar, I have fantasies of my Rog stealth jumping and becoming PC poor very quickly. ?  Ive managed to get cheeky a few times already with the Spincter, Strider and Pursuer, the Blitz is def. my learning curve. Anyone with some PS experience in these bots who wants to share some tips on the ins and outs? Feel free and much appreciated. |

It'd be a little more effort and good luck, but foolhardy quartermaster and dodger are amazing to run with phase shift. Foolhardy gives you that instant module ability charge at 50% durability and is awesome once you get used to it. Seeing that charge pop up when there's 10 seconds left but you're taking a beating is super valuable. And dodger isn't available on all bots, but it's better than module expert. Dodger reduces module cooldown by 25%, so you'll have another phase shift in 15 secs instead 20.
Edit: my error above...should be dodger reduces from 40 sec cooldown to 30. Still that's 10 secs less. Pretty huge.

Imo, not much to phase shift, it's your wild card. But one thing is for sure, it's making reds mad as hell lol.
I use it in my punisher ghost rog, and use it mostly when:
- DB ambushes me to avoid most of it's fire and retaliate
- get to cover if I feel I'm going down
- close the distance to my target under heavy fire or get into shield bubble
Defo a good addition to bots without special abilities, and defo defo makes op stuff more op

I use phase shift on my Loki to troll anyone who uses Quantum Radar on me.

War Robots is on the cusp of a crack epidemic with this module. Seeing it everywhere now.
Can anyone confirm you can still capture a beacon when phased? Pretty sure I saw this happen but thought it wasn’t supposed to.

You can cap beacons but a huge let down, you cannot shoot while in phase shift grrrr

You can cap beacons but a huge let down, you cannot shoot while in phase shift grrrr Well, it would be monstrously OP otherwise. I like that you can't shoot while they can't shoot you (that's how the Ares shields should work ideally imo). It gives both parties time to adjust before going back at it again. |

Been using PS on a few of my Carnages (not overdoing it, just the occasional PSing. Don't wanna spam it and overdose lol).
Let's just say I finally get an idea on how powerful Ao Jun pilots feel. PS + Carnage Rush = Poor man's Ao Jun.
Watching a dual heavy weapon bot running at you with 60+ speed must be terrifying for the reds I use it on. Ares player puts up his shield? No problem, I just activate Rush + PS and run into his shield.
Ao Jun flying towards you? Just wait until his flames start hitting you before you PS + Rush and wait for him to come back to the ground. Then you proceed to fight old school 1v1.
Now, I know what you're all gonna say? "Wait till an Ares or Ao Jun pilot uses PS on you as well. Good luck killing him."
I am well aware of that possibility, and have a few tactics to counteract that. Don't ask me what those tactics are though, I don't want to give away my secrets and tip others off.

Joopiter great stuff, thx! Just got done shuffling some skills around for this hangar, just changed 3 skills out to Dodger and Modules expert. I will be experimenting with these combos and more as time goes on. 乃ㄥ卂乙 I agree that PS is a wildcard (maybe more like a trump card?) but I believe that it all comes down to WHEN you slap that trump card down that matters the most. Using it in conjunction with other abilities, whether BEFORE or AFTER that ability is used changes things up dramatically, and this varies from bot to bot. I’m still fleshing this out as I learn obv. There’s a lot of room for creativity with this thing, and even MORE room when you factor in these module manipulating skills. Game has gotten crazy complex

Specifically for the stealth bots (especially the Pursuer), I'd advise using stealth first and saving the PS for either, when you come out of stealth, or when someone uses Quantum Radar on you. I was trying to make an end run around center beacon on Yam with my Pursuer and a shiney new PS module. I ran out and when I first got noticed, I phased. "Ha you ?female dog?es!" Then when it ran out, they were still watching me and I stealthed. "Double Ha you bit..." Zap, Quantum Radar and I was insta-dead. Learned the hardway. Good lesson though. Good luck. Oh, and P.S. (not phase shift, but post script...lol) I wouldn't trade Quantum Radar off of my Scourge Spectre for anything. It's my Loki melter. lol. |
