Just wanted to share my observations to help anyone out that's trying to fly through upgrades ASAP. Everyone probably realizes you get 5 per day. Beyond that, it's actually 5 per day per device. I am fortunate enough to play on both my phone and a tablet. That's 10.
The most recent trick I've discovered though is that you can get another 5 hours off after you start a new upgrade, even after you've used your previous 5-10. The catch being that you have to have played all your prerequisite games before starting the new upgrade because it's only available just after starting the upgrade. The way I've decided to do it is to make sure I have played 5 games (without using the ads in other areas...silver/bronze chests/etc.) before starting another upgrade. This can be a bit tricky and is somewhat counter-intuitive because you'd think you want to start it right away, but if you don't have the ads ready to go just after hitting "upgrade" the option will go away.
A good example of doing this would be upgrading your silver modules. The upgrade time for mine is 6 hours (because of premium). I have my 5 ads ready when I start a new upgrade. Then I reduce the time by 5 hours and spend the next hour playing games and reloading my ads for the next upgrade. Doing this gets you a fully upgraded silver passive module in 3 hours and theoretically, if you have all day, you could outfit 2-3 bots in your hanger with maxed silver upgrades. It's pretty handy in the right situations.

I also get 10/day with one device: 5 on the main hangar screen, 5 more by clicking on the upgrade item itself (bot, weapon, module etc., after the 5 main hangar screen -60 min videos are done).

I’ve been uninstalling/reinstalling to reset the counter and been getting 20-30 per day. With fast internet I can usually have it reinstalled in about 60 seconds.
I probably need a life...
edit: but It saves a crapload of time on upgrades as long as I can keep up with the silver.

If you enter the status of the upgrade on the bottom of the screen tgere is more than 5, think 12.

There is another well-known loophole: (1) In the main hangar, press the "Equip" button and find the bot either being upgraded or has the gear being upgraded, (2) Press the button to use Au to hasten the upgrade (red arrow):  (3) This will bring up another window, where you have the option to use Ad instead of Au. This gives you another five Ad upgrade counts:  CAUTION: Do NOT press the Au button at the "RECOMMENDED: Speed up XXX upgrade to Lvl YY" panel at the top of the main hangar screen. This will immediately use up Au without asking twice. I learned it the hard way ... ... So with this, I guess if you have two device, you can use Ads up to 20 per day, as long as you have the Ag resource. (You can see in the above screenshots I am really Ag broken now. That's because I used up so many Ads to take advantage of the 25% cheaper upgrade over the weekend. I decided to upgrade my Mender to Lvl12 at the end, which will normally cost 70M Ag. But this weekend it took only (?) 52.5M, which I was able to make by going through the free Operation pass and selling some old gears... ) Once you use up all the Ads, you can simply re-install the game. |

Tried this on my phone just now: burned thru the free hours, went to bot and weapon, and it gave me the option to use Au or run a battle. I have noticed that if you speed the end and then start another, it offers a new round of hours off |

You will immediately lose your Au if you click the TOP page status...
The bottom part will always expose the status first but if you double click before the page loads you might hit the Au... Happened to me.

Thanks for the tips this is great. I didn’t keep exact count but I applied 5 ads to speed up then another 5 from the item view panel then I opened my phone and there seemed to be another 10 there in the same way. If this wasn’t a fluke then that’s 20 hours off upgrade time each day, 45% off. I have a 3rd device but it can’t run War Robots anymore  , but with a 3rd device that’s 30 hours off each day, you’d be screaming through upgrades (and binge playing every day  ) Also I researched before how to delete app data on iOS and apparently deleting the app is the only way. |

No limit to ads if uninstalling, I did over 40 ads on a rainy day once to get my igniter to level 12 but that’s as many as I could do without going nutters... |
