Test server is open 5-6th November to test two new robots: medium and heavy class robots with four weapon slots (medium has four medium slots and heavy has also four heavy slots). Only two of them can be used at a time and another two lays back of the robot. Swapping weapons can be done "on the fly" but with delay. Heavy has 40 second swaptime and medium has 30 seconds.
Here is somekind of video from test server. It is a collection made from battles what I tried today.

Weapon swaptime feels to me too long, maybe both times could be 10 seconds shorter or atleast times should be shortened when upgrading bots.
As now weapons seems to "pop off" too easily. But in generally I liked these new prototypes so far. When swaptimes are balanced one or both get's a place from my hangar

I like the idea and being able to deal with both mid/long range and close range with one bot is economical. It gives us more hanger flexibility I think. In terms of pure firepower, 2 mid/heavy active weapons make those bots underpowered against fully rigged Fury/Griffin/Rhino etc, but I guess that's fair.
Short video of what those bots look like in the hanger:

I really don't like the idea of these bots. These bots aren't the typical jack-of-all-trades; they're the master of all ranges. They would be incredibly difficult to counter because they are effective at all ranges, and have the potential to be unbalanced. Plus, they look silly with two comically large weapons hanging off their backs.
If these bots do make it into the live server, I think I will go with a quadruple tulumbas medium. The ability to swap weapons allows you to fire two salvoes of the same weapon, and the Tulumbas' long reload time is negated by it being able to reload while not in use. The bot can theoretically fire at least eight tulumbas salvoes in half a minute, which is not bad at all.

Personally, I feel the swap times is good enough as-is. Otherwise, the bots could do ridiculous amounts of damage. The medium for example could fire off one set of orkans, then switch to the other set to fire off another salvo, doing 186k damage in less than ten seconds.

I'll probably get the heavy bot and mount it with tridents and thunders. Tridents while I'm closing in, then switching to thunders to finish off the unlucky 「illegitimate child」 who gets within range. That or mount it with two anicles and two thunders to make a super thunder carnage.
I like the idea of the quad orkan medium as well. I also like the idea of the quad tulu medium too.

They look cool, animation is great, I like the idea. Plus, tridents and molots hanging off the shoulders...Armored Core flashbacks here, and I can only hope I'm not the only one who notices the immediate similarities ( strayed). Just need double chain guns and I'm good.

Some chinese guy already tried quadruple orkan on test server, and it works as expected. He also tried quad tridents and tarans with a much lower degree of success. The video link is here.

The gameplay was better on this one, had to restart the stream.
Ignore the girl talking at the first of the video. That's my girlfriend talking while I'm trying to stream. How rude... It'll get edited out soon.

I like them. The medium bot feels a little slow or a little squishy. Perhaps the swap time can change by 1 second per level up on the bot.

I like them too, but they are both super squishy. The heavy has less armor than a Griffin, and the Medium is less than a Golem. And they are the same speed or slower.
I think they add an interesting wrinkle to the game. I do think they need to be a little tougher or faster, but it's a concept better executed than I thought it would be when I first saw it.

Tried them, don't really like them. Heavy max hp is only 150k, too squishy to be a brawler, so I guess we will see more campers/snipers with the heavy bot.
Medium too was squishy, if you use Orkans chances are after your first clip before you swap, you probably be losing some weapons lol.
Tried Aphids patton in TS for comparison, still tearing people apart.
That being said, the swap animation is super smooth and cool.

I like the idea of the medium with orkans/tarans. See a physical shield=orkans, see a energy shield/reload orkans = tartans.
Not sure about the heavy I like to play close so I guess I would have something to shoot while I'm closing to thunder range. I'm guess the support folks *cough campers * might like a "Oh Crap they're close" option.

I feel like they are great for mid-range, possibly long-range. Not good knifers at all. Maybe that's the point.

At knife range Britbots and rhinos will chew these bots up and spit them out, but for a few limited encounters out far, maybe time to get all four volleys in, recharge once and do it again before you're dead...could be interesting.

Hey Strayed.....remember our conversation in the shout box? Coincidence? ?I THINK NOT? Well, the difference is that you wanted the four mediums to all be able to be fired at once. Which pixo, thankfully, does not let these bots do.

I like the idea of the medium proto but not the heavy. Despite the long swap out and low hp, it is still difficult to counter. No bot is fast enough to get close to have enough health to finish it off. It is going to be THE master camper. If you guys were frustrated before dealing with 2-3 Fury Tridents, imagine 2-3 of these working together and timing their swap outs. It's going to be camper wars. Might as well change the name to Standing War-Robots

I hope these bots make it to live server. Even if they aren't great, I like the idea of lots of variation. The medium will be pretty awesome in silver tier, I think.
I understand Pix made the HP low and makes them lose weapons fast so that they won't be overpowered, and overall I think this is a smart move to help prevent power creep, but they could add a bit of Hp. Also, I think the stowed guns should be the last ones to get knocked off. That seems to just make sense. You lose a gun in your hand and you can switch to you other set and fight a little more.
Tomorrow, I'm going to run a full hangar the way I normally would and throw one of these in as a mid-range and see how it goes. I wish we could get some detailed stats.

An idea for countering triple treb fury's. Four trebs because by the time they're loaded you can switch again, won't help with camper issues though. I personally would use the medium with four orkans but pixonic seems to have decided they don't like me anymore and haven't included me this time.
