No, your assumption is people will do nothing wrt to switching to better weapons. Instead I think they will upgrade to Halos to minimize the nerf to Gusts. 135M silver to M1/L12 for Halos vs. 64M silver for gusts. It also costs 17.5M Ag to make one Halo. Lots of people at all levels have Gusts already so now they will have to spend their hard-earned silver on something else. Another situation where Pix hurts newer players. By your logic people should get Arbalests so they can man up and sit out there while Ares rip them apart. Not realistic. With pilots around, people who invested into things like sharp shooter gust also lose that investment. One of my fav bots the pursuer also got a big hit with this nerfing. Nerfs have a much bigger hit now in terms of resources and this nerf came really quick noting gusts have been targeted a few times already. Gusts are going the way of the orkan. I invested in speed skills so I guess this "rebalancing" does not affect me as much. All the more reason to never invest in weapon skills imo. I still view this as a buff for those with bots that attack ares/AJs without a cooldown. Slightly less burst but more sustainability for those 3-4 seconds before an ability becomes active.

Valid point, I was enjoying my sharp shooter skill too (on Pursuer). So I went back to the Phildo drawing board....respun….respun again, got "Road Hog" Imo road hog is the best skill next to armor expert.

I'd say this will be a nerf and I am already preparing to bench my gust pursuer. Hope you are right. Weapon skills are high return but highly volatile investments as change in weapons or bots or even indirect changes can have significant impacts.

This is sorta my thoughts on the nerfs and buffs and why. This is my opinion... so feel free to disagree. Also, I’m too lazy to retype is so please accept the screenshot lol.

That is one theory that can be used to explain the changes and you may be entirely correct. It does make sense from a certain perspective, particularly in future development/programming cost savings for weps/bots to be released in coming updates. There have been other examples where an existing set piece has been "enhanced" to produce something else (think Griffin/Raven). The counter to this theory that you have proffered however is that Pix has previously stated over the years that (paraphrasing here) one of the key interest elements of the game is the differentiation of equipment (bots & weapons) and the management of those differences by the player to achieve the best outcome from a game (e.g. players pairing kinetic weapons, using Stuka Griffin setups in earlier times, using frankenbots etc). I do agree communication is NOT a Pix strong suit for them although I do believe that is for a number of reasons that particularly suit Pix based on previous changes made or in the offing (even lately e.g. ads). As for this not being something to "push people to buy other stuff or spend more $"....sorry but you lost me with that one as that flies in the face of the Pix business model as displayed in oh so many examples - also have a look at their last business annual report - new strategies in War Robots to increase monetisation. If your theory is correct this would also be an added side benefit for them but certainly one that they would have considered IMO.
