Edit: maybe it’s just the daily reset, I’m trying to get more info...
Edit 2: Looks like there may still be a limit and they’re playing with the ‘Ad rewards’
Edit 3: There is in fact a daily 25 ad limit spread across various uses, according to Tofsla they’re still determining the best system.

Thanks. Temporary restoration I suspect to quell the uproar, at least while they work out the kinks and define reasonable limits; I would expect those limitations to return at the start of the next season, or very soon after.
Also, I don't think this is entirely Pix's doing (which is why I suspect it will return); I think pressure has been applied from the ad providers as there are some players (some in my clan no less) that do ad-farm to the extreme; to the point of being blacklisted and IP banned from these ad-servers in some instances... Although it's easy enough to get around those measures - they indicate that the ad providers really don't appreciate the excessive ad farming and have been trying to curtail it with inadequate methods from their end, and so now are likely applying pressure on Pix to help deal with this.

How do you ad farm?

Cycle through games very quickly - the most simple form is to purposefully play bad to get meched out quick so you can leave and go straight into the next match. Extremely boring and tedious, and makes one wonder why bother to even play the game, but some do it. Easier for players on Android as you can use a script to get the similar results without having to sit there and waste your life doing that 「dookie」. It's also possible to script it in iOS to some degree, but is harder, and you need to root your device and use certain outdated software to make your own macro.

So, it's basically like tanking. Whew, I though ad farming was hitting the "i" button and reporting the ad in order to skip it.

There are ppl who waste their life doing this? My gosh find something more worthy of your limited time on Earth to do pls. At least play for fun, play to win, whatever, not play to torture yourself so u can farm ad miserably... My tips: invest in yourself to get a decent job, then u can easily pay $$ to buy gold to speed upgrades. That’s what I do. My time is much more precious than $$.

'maybe' people uninstalled/reinstall like crazy to fix the ads? This drives up their dl stats in a suspicious way. And this in turn made problems?

Seems to me the simple solution would be to limit pilots to 6 ads an hour.

Pix is telling me to stop at 15 games a day and I’m starting to think that this will actually be a good thing for me. Thank you, pix, for putting me on the road to recovery from my War Robots addition.

Seems to me the simple solution would be to limit pilots to 6 ads an hour. This is the best idea so far. Let people who play 4-5 hours a day with full games get their ADs. But limiting AD farming of bots at the same time. I’d go with 8 ADs though, since a normal game usually takes anywhere between 10 to 6 minutes. A clan vs random battle even less, so clan squads who roll their ADs every 5 game would still be hit by the change. My alternative suggestion would be to give 1, a minimum damage limit, and 2, a minimum match finish standing limit If you score less damage than 3-400k in champ game, no AD. If you are dead last on the team, no AD. Make people earn the right to roll the AD. This system could go combined with your suggestion of hourly limit. It would not be perfect, but it could filter out a great part of those who are abusing the system, and it would force them to do at least a minimal amount of contribution to the battle.

Honestly, while I am a tad sorry for farmers, I am mostly LMAO about these shenanigans and the extent of home made (and foreseeable = avoidable) trouble Pixo’s incompetent leadership is causing for the game, the players, and themselves out of sheer greed.

I just ran 5 of the -60 min ads and eliminated 65 au of upgrade. That's actually a lot for about 3 or 4 mins of add watching. Once I was done, I played a match, came back and no new ad to watch. I do have ads still available on bronze chests.

Not only are the ads limited, the limits are shared across a device. By that I mean, if you have multiple accounts or share your device for someone else’s War Robots account, then playing 5 ads for daily tasks on one account disables daily task ads on all other accounts.
Maybe this is intentional or maybe just another example of their programming incompetence.

Sorry, but I have to vehemently disagree to your second suggestion. In M3, there are a LOT of battles where there are 4 Champs, an M1 with 7K victories, and then me or some other relative noob with one third the experience. Now just because I did less damage didn't mean I wasn't trying to play my ?bum-bum? off. Why shouldn't I receive the ad to reduce upgrade time? It's not me pairing myself in matches where I'm playing with or against players with literally double my league points.

Edit: Nevermind, realised the second point was about the standing and not damage minimu. All I am saying is ADs has to be earned, and not rewarded as a perticipation trophy I understand your concern and I forgot about the new Honor system. So instead of not giving an AD for the last place, the system can work with a minimal honor point amount, this way accounting for most of the variables required to decide wether you contributed to the battle or not. No damage limit, no battle result position limit, just a honor based algorithm which decides if you did minimal effort acceptable

Ads worked for me, then I was getting errors on them about 4 hours ago. Then, there was no ad button on upgrade time reduction but the Bronze chest and supply chest ones were still present and working. Situation appears to be very fluid at the moment.
