How in Hell is that better for noobs? Limiting their ability to get better ?dookie? from the SC helps... how? Limiting the number of ads is actually sensible, and most other games I have played do this too. (Players who watch more than [some number] ads per day will usually not really watch them, but in fact do something else while the ads are playing.) I suspect that the ad providers may require their clients such limits. (I used to "watch" ads using a MEmu script. At the time when we could have 2 clients at the same time, I had one instance running on another computer that was automatically "watching" ads in the background, which was especially useful for squad play.)
What's NOT sensible is the ridiculous grind that Pixo puts you through to get anything valuable. It's THE f2p mechanic: Make things grindy, and offer players to get reduce the grind by paying (ads or RM). It was easily possible to get a SC (in higher leagues) when we had keys in our daily supply drops. Removing the ads is just one step in a long walk that started 3 years ago. And requiring players to play 3 hours or more per day was ridiculous even with ads. Now you would have to play what, 8 hours a day to get a SC? Yeah, right. They might as well scrap the SC completely.
Frankly I'm happy about the limit, because it will (hopefully) cut into Pixos profits a bit. Players would grind to get a SC, but I doubt that the same players will spend $50 to get keys to complete the SC, because (a) they can buy any robot outright for that money (if they are on sale) and (b) there is a decent chance that the SC contains something you already have.
The only thing that MIGHT turn this game around is a rapid drop of profits. But probably even that won't be enough.

Watching 40 ads per day (even if not actually looking at them), that sounds horrible way to spend time. It also sounds like some players liked to farm ads by not playing the battles for a win. If this is reduced by the change, I think the game quality will indeed improve for everybody! As a side note, I run the ads exclusively to reduce upgrade times, but never actually watch the ads. In fact, i only run the ads via my phone while I continue to play, so i’m not even looking at my mute phone while focused on combat. I mean, who the heck watches advertisements these days? Old people maybe lol? I suspect that exactly herein lies the true reason for the “tweaks”. What if ad customers have to pay Pixo per view. But Pixo has created an incentive for players to self-spam themselves with ads to a level at which any further views of the same ad don’t increase the likelihood of actually buying the advertised product. In other words, viewers just grow numb. At that point Pixos ad customers are wasting their money. I know if I was paying for video ad placements on War Robots I’d be pushing back. The ultimate root cause for the change stays the same however: rampant greed

Anybody here read or watch 1984? In that book every time totalitarian government would cut food rations they would have official announcement stating they are increasing food rations to new amounts. Pixonic is not far away from that kind of farce. As a matter of fact, here's idea how they could have said it: "Dear Players! It's with great joy that we can announce that we increasing the number for adds you can watch to five a day. Please thank Chairman Gladkov for His tireless efforts to improve War Robots experience, especially for new players." One of my faves......... Winston is astonished by the news that demonstrations were held to hail Big Brother for increasing the chocolate ration to 20 grams when in fact just the previous day, it was announced that the ration was actually being reduced from 30 grams to 20 grams. Yep, doubleplus good.
What a book. I first read it 47 years ago, and now more than ever it resonates...

I don't know about the validity of the "time spent watching ads takes away from time playing the game" argument. On iOS at least, a good portion of ads can be counted as "watched" in less than a second. So on average, watching 40 ads could take all of 400 seconds. Or, one slightly short Domination battle. On the other hand, earning those 40 ads, playing normally, would take me just under 5 hours of play.
IOW, doing this to enhance the gaming experience, especially for newbies, is newspeak...

If you delete and reinstall the app you can watch ads as you wish. The counter seems to be in the app not tied to your id. They will change that for sure but it should be good enough to make it to superchest.
... and maybe one day you delete and not install

Kind of liberating. I was a grinder for SC (and also Ag.) Never really got much in SC as mostly duplicates so I sold the for Ag. With a wave of their magic wand I am no longer going to watch adds. I get more Ag in one battle than in a day’s worth of adds. If SC remains in the new “Operations” system then I will still earn one per month. I will miss the small amount of Au but oh well - no more time wasted and maybe I can fit in one more match.

Basically Pix wants to limit our speed to get certain rewards. First was the keys removed from supply drops. Next is the removal of $0.99 (usd) for 100 keys, Pix makes the minimum purchase for keys to $9.98 (usd) now. Then now the restriction of playing ads?! How much does Pix wants to deter mad make difficult for the F2P and small-time-spender-players? (•?_•?)
At least, make effort to communicate to the players on FB or Reddit, informing us that there will be some changes or tweaks done to the ads systems. And not letting the players found out themselves and making it worse. Pix is really butt-hole to the max. If majority of the players feel that it’s a problem, then obviously it’s a problem. I know whalers don’t bother watching ads but that is only like a small fraction.

It might increase the quality of the games but the liquidity of pre-game matchmaking will drop. The guy expecting to complete SC or speed up their upgrades might think : "ok i have maxed out my Ads limit. I should stop playing War Robots and do something else."
Expect to see an increase in waiting time.

MAKE SURE YOU ARE LOGGED ONTO GOOGLE PLAY FIRST Then Go to system, APPs, War Robots, Storage Then clear game data. Restart game, google play reloads your profile and add's are there. No need to waste time and bandwidth downloading. ETA I see you are on ISO I am pretty sure somewhere above there was a post on how to do it on Apple.
