4/5 of my bots use Quantum Radar, and I sparingly use it unless I'm running a duo vs duo of a "rival" clan...not the heavy S-clans, but A-, B- clans, typically.
1/5 (Hover) has advance healing, and I use that as my crack bot, to stay alive if I feel like it. I have mechanic already as well as adamant mechanic, and will add the defense when the reds have 3 capped too (adamant guardian?).
I've stabilized my crack to around 15k lately, and will try to never dip below 10k. Most of the times I hit the phildo crack, looking back, would NOT have changed the game outcome. The best use is when the game comes down to the wire and that would truly be the difference in the match, all other is basically compensating for over-exposure or just unnecessary use.

Oof, I’m down to 69,500 PCs. I’m now 100% off the power cells til I clear 75,000. U DA MAN!!!..... I don't have 7500 PC yet...but I'm gaining them and not spending Au... Still getting kicked around some...(ok...a bunch.)...but I'm not wasting my winnings on trying to survive stupidity.... I'm glad y'all still tune into my threads... even your wise-azz comments make a point.... |

Frustrated..... Fought against 2 FALCONS in separate games and lost 5 bots to them because they almost constantly had the green heal glow... I kept thinking, "They've GOT to run out of crack soon...", but n-o-o-o-o.... Fine.... PIXO is throwing crack at me and I'm leveling pilots.... Running at +/-60% wins, capping 2-3 beacons, and getting kills even if 3 or more kills get stolen. I'm bringing an ARES online in about a week to replace my HAECHI... Kicking the heal habit has done wonders for my overall gameplay... I still don't do record amounts of damage (avg 550k)...but I don't think that's my area. I keep pushing beacons (without commiting suicide) and defend voraciously if we have an advantage in beacs while keeping red heads down for my advancing teammates. (I also terminate ARES/AO JUN with extreme prejudice when in a favorable position and pin them in place (often triggering their special ability) with harassment fire when I have little chance of taking them out. Lockdown ammo works great with a MERC HELLDIVE....) Again... I'm not trying to self aggrandize.... I just want to help pilots in the same boat as me get out of the BACTA trap.... (Except those 2 FALCON pilots....I hope they go broke. I shouldn't feel this way, but I do.) I maybe one of those falcon pilots ?. The perma green crack you see may just be a pilot skill on my traditionalist falcon, giving me 0.5% health per second. I use super heal on that bot so you will know when I’m actually healing |

Man...I was HAMMERING both FALCONS...EMBER/ROCKETS/HALOS/HELLDIVE/CORONA/STORM/SCOURGES....
If a bot had 600,000hp...(.5%) would be 3000hp per second....at point blank, I was doing 20-30,000hp damage per second...I think I was outpacing that heal rate...
If I'm wrong, so be it.... I've never seen a heal skill display in green, but I'm still learning...

Pilot skills help. Also, you need to pick the right bot. I love my Fenrir, but that thing eats PCs.

And it's tough when you have no premium modules or heal skills for your pilots and your opponents are burning P.C.s and running LAST STAND....
PIXO came up with a nerf for the ARES....hand them out like tissues.
I would never buy one....but I won 2. My lvl 9 is WAY outpacing my HAECHI....but I'm still running into a bunch of unkillable bots.
I have dropped into the 40% win rate, which doesn't sound too bad...but I was much higher. I'm having to put out fires supporting my teams and this is increasing my attrition rate. My teammates seem to get a lot more kills with me watching their backs....but I die a lot faster. If I can hunt enroute to beacons, instead of stopping red assaults, I score tons better. Overall kill average is up by 1 per game.
Still saving Au to upgrade pilots and modules....and hanging in MASTER 1. Keeping my ego in check and playing in a slightly more 「lady bits」l manner (instead of leading with my schlong) is letting me impact the game longer.
Again.... I'm not bragging or complaining....just letting average to good players know what to expect when they kick the green crack habit.

You will always be a 40/60 pilot just like everyone else regardless of how many PCs or Boosters you use. This will remain the case until you are deep into legend league. So unless you are planning on spending a lot of money to gear up, don’t sweat it and save your resources for when they really matter. in my humble opinion resources like pc and boosters (consumables) should only be used to maximize silver harvesting. be stingy when using PCs only use boosters when you have Ag boosters to run with them |

Yep...streaks come and streaks go....
Back up to 68% wins and still not using BACTA...or hardly any PC's unless it helps my team kill reds....
I'm sure I will get hammered by MM again soon.... I'm within 50 honor points of Champions League. If I make it back in, I'll get punted in 5 games prolly...
Good news is I have built up Au and can work toward leveling pilots. These are better investments than BACTA....
I run a mk1 lvl 10 ARES....but my other 4 bots are tier 2 meta. (MERC/QUIZ/FALCON/STRIDER) and I'm not very good with the ARES. (does better than my HAECHI at the same job though)
I'm average to good...not a star.
Again...just updating....no bragging. I have good and bad games. I'm still trying to show what happens if you take a long view of the game instead of short term feel goods.
With patience and not thinking with my phallus, I should survive deeper into Champions League.
The commanders commenting here are super helpful...so... maybe listen to them more than me.

Ok....not buying green crack has allowed me to level pilots to 3 seargants and a lieutenant....I did buy the operations pass with $$ and that helped quite a bit, but I only run power cells I earn in crates and operation.
Result?....well....if you looked at my stats before I quit buying crack and after, you wouldn't see any dramatic improvement....
But the point is, you would see an improvement. I'm not running at the bottom of the scoreboard all the time without active modules because I was able to level up weps/pilots/bots. I can be more aggressive in my play and not get slaughtered out of the gate.(when not running active modules)
I can't say I'm a F2P player anymore...but it was only 1 purchase in 4 years....
If you run active modules all the time....good for you....
I don't think I will buy any more until I have 5 lieutenant pilots and all lvl 11-12 bots/weps.
If you look up my hangar and say,"this guy would be well into Champions League if he didn't suck"....ok.... you're probably right.
So here's a guy who "sucks" who has built a Champions League contender hangar after spending a whopping $15 in 4 years and is staying alive long enough to improve his piloting skills without resorting to band-aids to get through battles.
Hey...it's just me having more fun and adding my 2 cents worth.

I'll consider it...but just not bothering with PCs is working all right for now.
I still use them when awarded...but I'm not burning Au for them.
I'm not critical of anyone who uses them...I was a green crack addict...
The more I used, the better I scored... until I ran out...or I ran into well levelled reds that could outlast my band-aid.
Buying PCs kept me from leveling pilots or buying modules.
When I started this thread I had 3 corporals and 2 privates. I now have 4 seargants and a lieutenant. Pilot skills are permanent.
If what I say is B.S. or plainly obvious to you, the reader...this thread isn't written for you.
It's written for some other average player who is in a rollercoaster trying to figure out a plan to invest his meagre resources and build a competitive hangar.
(Nobody has said my thread is useless...in fact, I welcome the insights that have been posted here as well as the encouragement.)

Ok.... still taking the periodic crack addict stomp...but am giving dmg as well as I take. Still in the Champions League yo-yo (4900-5100)
2 lieutenants now and working close to the 3rd. (Plus 2 seargants)
I run no PCs unless I win them and I'm staying in the top 3 most of the time. Pilot skills are really adding to my bot effectiveness...and they don't leave in 6 seconds.
Still a bit over aggressive...but if my team attacks as well, we rack up a lot of reds/beacons. Honor point ranking has been a huge help. I'm rarely on the top in damage, but capping 3 beacons a game can balance that.

Been a while since writing...still not buying green crack.
I can definitely tell differences in scoring when I don't have PCs...but since I'm running 4 lieutenants and a captain as pilots now and all my bots and weps are at least level 11, I'm still contributing beacons and kills.
EVEN AGAINST PILOTS SPENDING HUUUUUUGE CRACK RESOURCES....
My biggest issue is game crash...I can win 3-4 games in a row and be in the top 3, then have the game crash twice and lose points overall.
If you have played me recently and wondered how I am "only" in MASTER II....
1) I'm not that good a pilot. I'm "good"...but not GOOD. I concentrate more on beacons than damage and tend to overextend when I should wait for a teammate. When it works...it works, when it doesn't....
2) The game crashes several times during the hour or so I play at a time. It's either locking up at BATTLE BEGINS or on the start of my 3rd bot drop.
I'm not tanking.
Kick my 「bum-bum」 on a map I dislike with meta bots while running in a "kill squad" with every conceivably booster running, maxed pilots, and burning PCs like they are free and I will shake my head and move on to the next game. (I will wish leprosy upon your genitalia...but that is a personal issue I am working to improve upon.) I won't tank to get easier matches.
MM, however, has seen fit to place me in a position to look like the above described 「illegitimate child」s to pilots in EXPERT and low MASTER league. I apologise for that.
Meanwhile....I still profess that BUYING PCs with Au is a waste and you are card better off saving for pilot skills that are permanent.
When the game lets me play, I score far more damage and capture more beacons than when I was running with just PCs. Seems obvious, but longer term mentality must outrank short term boosts.
Again...this is a, maybe, above average pilot giving his views. I admit to having purchased the OPERATIONS TICKET twice, but do not go about spending on Au or deals. (I've spent $33 in 4.5 years...you may argue, but I don't think that makes me a "wallet warrior".) If you wish to do so....ignore my rambling.
