War robots website just released this new baby recently. warrobots.com/en/posts/292They've added more to the War Robots lore by reworking their factions. Have fun with this all you War Robots fanfic writers. And as for the rest of us, it might give us something to toy with when we're bored. As for me, looks like I'm from a hardline control freak colony that's gonna be a pain to deal with

Imagine if the original devs created this lore instead these fail.ru hacks.
These idiots didn't get anything right. They completely ignored existing factions like the TMC, RUS and GER. Wow.

True, they have ignored the existing factions and have replaced them with these new ones by the looks of it. But I'd first give them a chance to prove themselves before condemning them Hopefully the lore department is run by better people who care about the game and delivers us something that positively surprises us.

How come the pilots on that page look cooler than the ingame characters?
Hopefully we can tell our pilots to put the helmet on.

Well there we go. Renders us fanfic writers pretty unnecessary. Makes me glad I broke off from War Robots...my novel's second draft is almost done and will be sent to a publishing group soon. I mean, most fanfic writers write short stories for their own amusement. Well, that's what I do at least. This just gives us a different set of rules to work under.

They could have easily incorporated the old factions into their new background story. I have trouble with Cossack and Vitaz being in the same faction as Griffin. Also Griff and Fury need to be in the same group. I won't even mention the older bots that didn't get included in the new scheme at all.

OMG what a terrible half-assed storyline. If each Corp specializes in a certain aspect of the game such as AI or modules, why would they allow their rivals to use their chief tech advantage in combat? I can see mechs from different corps fielded together by mercenary units, sure. But why would modules be spread across all mechs? I suppose we'll just shoehorn corporate espionage in and voila! Solved! ERMA GENUS BAKSTORY RITER!

See... I'd rather this happen next: "Kyle, Kyle wake up..." Moans of pain and muscle spasms twerked his arms and legs, but Kyle's eyes remained closed. Shayla looked down at her Squadron Commander and felt the grief bubbling up. All these years of shared battles had caused a veil of invincibility to surround Kyle whenever she looked at him. Now, though, with him half hanging out of his beloved Inquisitor's cockpit, broken and torn, she saw that veil rip apart into tiny shreds before her eyes. She succumbed to the grief and wept. Just as she was about to climb down and get back into her scout Specter, his moans and spasms stopped. Fearing the worst, she held her sobs in, and slowly looked up at him. She met his eyes. Eyes so hard and so cold, she felt they belonged to a stranger. "Kyle...?" "Shayla. Best you get back to the squadron, now. I have something I need to do." "Wha...? Kyle you're hurt. You need a medkit... you can't go back out there like this!" The words tumbled out of her in a rush. "I'm not going back out there... you mistake me. There is something greater in store for me this day." "..." "It's time to fix this. Our universe seems to have been taken over by some ignorant God... And I will no longer stand for it. The great... Mail.Ru I think it's called... more like FAIL.FU if you ask me. No, it's time to break the 4th wall and take back what is OURS!" That last word was a shout of defiance into the raging wind. With that, he started the reactor back up, and began the diagnostics that would tell him all the damage he had incurred with that last battle. Shayla couldn't believe what she was hearing... had he gone crazy? "Kyle, listen to me... you've had a long day, lets go have a bowl and chill for a bit..." "No!" he interrupted. "I am not going to just let this happen. They completely changed history to their liking! Just to sell more Mechs to fight in this endless war!"
With that, while looking her in the eyes with a promise of more pain to come, he closed the cockpit, shutting her out.
Shayla backed down the access ladder, turned around, and walked back to her Specter, head low. When she heard the ramp up of energy that signaled a coming jump and an engaging Stealth field occurring, she did not even look back.
"Goodbye, Sir."
I could get behind something like that...

I read the first five words of your story and got up to "Moans" before I had to check whether this was some sort of... um, bedroom story. My mind is far too filthy...

I guess countries aren't important anymore. Great.
This feels more like a sh*tty reboot than an update.
