It is like this and i have a lots of example......we who catch and defend beacons will must cange ours game and just go for damage.....  if we loose and like me now,,who has 340k damage 4 kills and 5 beacons get up 4 with -10 points(when we won with same score i get only +3) and the guy in feont of me has 400k damage 4 kills and 「fluffernutter」ing 0 beacons.....and he get points ......i can do damage also,,that is not so hard but hard is to win if you have to catch beacons and defend for others............so this put all speed bots out of play and get hevy and just make mess,,,cause i like points also but not geting any.......................................................................................................................bye,,bya Gareth:( |

Agreed - I've now dropped my stalker in favor of heavier damage dealers because the risk:reward for adopting a beacon capping strategy has gone way out of kilter. Using lights in higher tier matches is only useful now if you are tanking.
That said, I am enjoying the new league system as it is giving me something to aim for across all my matches; even when I know I'm going to lose I still want to max out my performance to try to improve that league score.

Thanks! By giving up beacons you make it far easier for me to earn 5 gold each win. Plus with you focusing on damage, we are more likely to win while I cap those beacons. Now given I earn that gold about every other match, and I play a lot of matches each month, I earn far more gold than I would occassionslly climbing league ranks. Funny...Gareth has ran consistently as my longest standing bot in the hangar but I finally have been experimenting with replacements.
I too have noticed some downside to this league system.

I guess it takes all kinds. You can have my league points.
Between the initial rollout where we could see our league score, that only lasted a few minutes before they turned it off, and now my league score went up by 30 points. And that's with me doing everything ethical (NO TANKING, hate those wrinkled sphincters) to keep my league score down.

That's the joy of the game - it can be played so many different ways. I view gold as a means of improving my hangar so as to play against better opponents - once I've bought what I want, I don't need gold anymore, so the league implementation has given me something tangible to aim for now. If other guys want to beacon cap for the gold then great - we're enjoying different styles of play and helping each other achieve what we want in the process.

And that's with me making an effort to do less damage, cap more beacons to keep my league score down. There's a *reason* people in the 7-9 (even 6-10) or so level range who traditionally focused on damage are the ones complaining the most about the current MM. But I guess you need to see it for yourself. Have fun. |

Noooo! I won't lose another member of the Tribe of Beacon Eaters! The League system is for try-hards, yanno? I've been predicting for weeks now that the new MM is going to create 2 tribes, Beacon Eaters and Damage Dealers. Both are needed to win matches, but your preferred play-style should dictate which tribe you join. Don't listen to Pixo, they just want you to get frustrated so you'll buy in more often  Much like the OP, I don't care much about the Au anyway, just more freemium grinding to me, so I shoot for the MoC awards and don't stress the rest, just blow 「dookie」 up, flip beacons and carry on. Which landed me in Gold III tier on my Android account, sooooo, things can happen  |

It is kind of sad that Beacons play no part. Pix missed the mark on this decision. They used to shoot pretty tight groups... even if they weren't dead center. Now, the shots are all over the place, many times missing the target completely. Not having beacons play a part in rankings seems to contradict the game itself... since ya kinda need 'em to win.

I agree this is a problem. Perhaps a good solution would be for the losing teams top damage dealer and top beacon getter to be rewarded?

I just completed my qualifying matches on my iOS account. How the hell did I place in Diamond III??? 650 Au rewarded tho! I can finally buy a Galahad! I got this:  With this hangar:  Mind you, I'm not bragging. I'm actually very concerned because my flag-runner, I mean Beacon Eater play style shouldn't get me that far... I'm confused. |

I agree this is a problem. Perhaps a good solution would be for the losing teams top damage dealer and top beacon getter to be rewarded? And #4,5, and 6 on the winning side should not get points for attendance without participation. Reward them if they get beacons. As with the daily 30k Ag bonus, there's a 50/50 chance of getting league points just by dropping in, doing nothing, and letting #1 and #2 and the beacon king do most of the hard work. |

I know how you feel! So this is what you do....okay? Get death button griffins, death button pattons, taran/mag heavies and go to town. when it comes to capping beacons, just cap some whenever possible but always press on that red button to make some damage every game. Always try to reach the top three of the damage dealers whether win or lose. If you win, you can get 1, 3 or 5 gold plus another 5 if you get enough beacons while hunting. I am telling you this because in every game there are team mates who are sometimes good, bad or just plain abyssmal. So that if worse comes to worse, reach that top three damage dealer. So your accumulated points doesn't go down the drain. on the note of teamwork, just capture, defend beacons or make the other team mech out. If you win by that method then that means you all worked hard together as a team to do so( REACH TOP THREE DAMAGE DEALER). if you want to be a good samaritan, play support. Its all good. |

Keep capping.
Caps = wins; and when you win, the medal rewards are significantly higher than when you don't win.
If you pocket the Gareth, do so for a Cossack.

The current league points system for individual play is not really designed to encourage winning. It's not even designed to be fair, imo. It's designed to encourage more damage, which drives people to upgrade so they can deal more damage, which incentivizes people to spend (cynical view).
The squad league point system is much more balanced toward trying to win - everybody gets similar points if you win no matter how much damage you did. You also lose a lot fewer points if you lose, so maybe the league system is designed to encourage more team play (less cynical).

When I playing, my rating league taken -5 after defeat, second I win I gain +4, next one loss -11, second one i deal a lot damage (top 1) third still same, I keep losing league playing king of the hill mode, enemy gain gold, key card, but I only got 1 key card at top first damage.

I think a scoring system that rewards then penalize for the same accomplishment is flawed.
I've corresponded with Pix on this matter and they assured me that "they're working diligently to improve this " so relax,I'm sure they'll address our concerns at once.In Pix we trust!
