I am a little disappointed in my new Weyland. Got it a couple days ago after waiting for a month and a half. I am not sure weather it is a setup issue or the weyland is just bad. It has a level 7 avenger and a level 6 ancile. I have another avenger, another ancile, and 2 Zues’. What should I put on it? (Silver 2)

Maybe it's playstyle. The Weyland is very suited to the camping playstyle. All that's missing is the camp fire. It plays a bit similar to Raijin, like Raijin's softer less aggressive younger brother that heals.

Well, best tactic is to park around a corner and then... go and get yourself a coffee, do some housework... not for everyone

I have Ancile/Ancile Weyland (lvl 8/8, 9) and this is extremely powerful bot, changing the game completely on certain maps.
In TDM, this is absolute beast. Park it near spawn and heal all the way. It might be useful in other modes in Deadcity, Carrier and other maps where the action is focused in one place. Don't try to cap beacons, don't go in open - park nearby, behind cover and wait for your allies. They'll remember you're here and come to you with their new bots. If your team wins, move forward to steal territory. If you're losing, stay in healing mode even if you are going to die - when you disable it, you're much more vulnerable and your teammates, focused at one place, will become very easy target. Don't panic, you're surrounded by your teammates who are going to protect you. I've experienced even teammates covering me with their own bots
It's problematic to use in some maps, like Shenzen, Castle etc, but still can be useful. I have two hangars, so I can decide when I deploy Weyland. Unless it's beacon rush, you want to deploy Weyland first so your teammates will immediately realize they have support.
Also remember, it becomes much stronger every level. It's not only about HP - it heals faster, and bigger HP pool means you can heal much more of your health after being damaged, making you way more durable than on previous level.
Last thing, it may sound stupid, but I bought paintjob for Weyland. It's cheap and makes Weyland much more visible in my opinion.

Thanks for the help! I think I will move the second avenger to my Raijin and add another ancile to the Weyland.

I would level bot weapon and ancile a bit more. The avenger is a very good weapon. The weyland isn’t the best of the best but I guess it can be fun to play. Definitely you depend on your teammates protecting you and getting healing services.

Used to run avenger/ancile weyland. But i dun think that lone avenger is doing much dmg. And i m always having difficulties having the blues staying close to me. Have since changed the avenger for a glory and the difference is hugh. Suddenly blues are more willing to stay wif me, and pushing ahead when i take the lead. Though others have said the lockdown is less than satisfactory, i m able to lock down reds very frequently, sometimes up to 3 reds.
I find this build is better for weyland as i can root the reds and keep their distance while i heal the blues. Blues are also more likely to follow me into the front line. I usually reach the outskirts of the center later than the rest. But once there, if there is a chance, i will start to push towards the center which the blues will usually start to push too.
I will usually go near the center beacon, 300-500m away, depending on what map n i usually find 2-3 blues hanging round me protecting the center beacon. If there is a blue wif a physical shield or ancile, we can last in the for more than 5mins.
N even when i m alone, rooting them at a distance usually is enough to deter them from coming closer to me, unless they r running energy weps wif range. But i can always move away.
Edit: Downside is sometimes i attract too many blues at the center / around me that our flank beacons are being taken over with little resistance. But, thats the downside of playing solo due to the lack of communications n coordinations.
But on the other hand, on maps like castle, rome n moonbase, if my weyland is able to reach the center beacon wif another 2 blues, the reds are gonna have a hard time trying to retake it. I root the reds, heal the blues, protect them from physical dmg, they kill.

shogunsgProblem with weyland is contrary to what you would actually expect, is that it has no durability. It just can’t do anything intensive , Additionally it’s weapons get shot off, whereas the raijin is death incarnate, and rarely loses its weapons. Sometimes I just get skunked and totally shut down, but typically nobody walks away without a scratch. I can shred entire teams with s well placed drop over s spawn point. Weyland can’t do that unless he’s got 5 of his closest friends. That’s the situation where you win the match

But as weyland is more of a support bot, unlike raijin who is more focused on dealing dmg. The only areas that they r alike are both are spider heavy bots carrying 2 heavy weps. But in terms of functionality, they are totally different. To expect a weyland to do the job of a raijin is not realistic, and vice versa. Thus its not that right to compare it wif the raijin. Anyway, i did not, and certainly not trying to compare or debate which is better. Different playstyles n situations will affect the effectiveness of different bots n different setups of the same bots. I was only replying to OP, trying to give him other suggestions as to the setup n game play of a weyland from my short experience wif it.

How about a CHIMERA/ANCILE WEYLAND...
Fire support and self protection while keeping back from direct fire...
Just a thought...

Does he really need that Ancile if he stays out of sight while using Chimera?
And if you plan on using Ancile to help your teammates, I would try Viper. You deal additional DoT damage, and can poison multiple enemies.

How about a CHIMERA/ANCILE WEYLAND... Fire support and self protection while keeping back from direct fire... Just a thought... 1 wep of any kind is not going to hurt any reds. Most u can do is to steal some kills here n there. N keeping way back is gonna hurt ur team, unless u r playing tdm. Blues wif little hp have difficulties going to u at the back, more so when they r damaged n have their speed reduced. Plus when they retreat to the back, it leaves the front empty or short handed, allowing the reds to advance with little or no resistance.
