Hey all! Back at it again with a little dose of positivity!
Love it or hate it, the old meta has been upended. With new robots and weapons crammed down our throats with every single update, we've seen a new generation of terrifying foes.
So, the question. What is now the most terrifying, oh 「dookie」 moment inducing robot/weapon combos you can encounter, be it a descending Mercury or an incoming Pursuer?
TL;DR, Which recent robot/weapon combos do you find the most terrifying to take on?
Share with us your tales of woe!

Sooo....I'm guessing a Nori Gepard probably won't make the list?

My example: rounding a corner in a low-health bot and seeing an enemy Raijin drop in. Raijin isn't a very recent robot, but with the shield buff they've seen a resurgence as of late. Unless I have a full health robot with rockets I usually cannot kill it myself.
Also... Some of the examples. Seeing a Mercury or Hellburner with lockdown weapons is terrifying.

Does a fleet of hell burners count? I see 4 or 5 of those to start a match and I 「dookie」bricks.

for me, a herd of ancilots/lancelots is still darn intimidating, especially when they drop in BR on a beacon you're about to turn. The only other build that gives me pause and causes a re-evaluation is priorities is a dragoon fury on an open map.

Orkan Spectre/Shocktrain Spectre when Spec was new. Flux Fury/Dragoon Fury

Contrary to my expectations, I am definitely NOT terrified of a Falcon. In fact, I welcome seeing them.
Now, rounding a corner in a non-stealth/jump bot and seeing a Pursuer? That scares me.

It’s still the orkan spectre.
Although I found shredder ember dongle goblins to be able to stun lock my raijins and edge me to death with an ember .
Pretty frustrating in general

I gave this some serious thought, I think that the most terrifying build to run into, regardless of almost any bot you're in, is an Orkan Spectre descending on you when you've exhausted any special ability you have.

Any of the 'Hello there, do you like our game? Well you CAN'T PLAY IT FOR THE NEXT 5 SECONDS! Oops, you're dead! Tee hee!' foolishness.

That's the classic "Ok, I'm toast" moment. Hate it when I have no jump/stealth/dash whatever available. But sometimes they're just there, descending on you and you don't notice them until it's too late. I appreciate pilots who're able to play them properly as assassins though.

For me it has been gust (or other variation shotguns) pursuer for a fair while now - just a combination with a very long stealth that is very hard to defend against in anything. I even have issues with them at 400-500m in certain cases - even at a nibble they will get you.

The last time I used a thunder mag leo for a daily task. I was in dead city and an aphid jesse and gepard had their way with me.
It still hurts...

For quite sometime it was a Spectre Ork dropping in to say Hello......Goodby! It was over pretty quick. So I built one for myself. Fun bot almost always good for at least one kill. Now I dread seeing a Persure with a lock-down and a pair of Gusts. Trapped and Slapped. So I am now building one of those.
The fun is in figuring out how to play them so they so they are affective.

What happens when your special ability is “stand still for 3 seconds to raise/ lower a physical shield” lol

Any of the 'Hello there, do you like our game? Well you CAN'T PLAY IT FOR THE NEXT 5 SECONDS! Oops, you're dead! Tee hee!' foolishness. Apparently it was so popular they made a game mode called death match, and all the non spectre pilots flocked to it. spectres were so popular in fact they even nerfed them to make them even more exciting. Because spectre pilots enjoy the challenges and excitement of hunting slow moving prey as much as tigers enjoy hunting goats staked to the ground.

For me, Pursuer with halo & gust is the most terrifying. The stealth times are too long at 10secs... and when they lock you up, you can't do anything.
I still can deal with hellburner + ancile + ecu since I have few roots weapon. What we need to do is to lock them out of 100m and try to kill them ASAP.

Namely, another person on a Bulwark or Fury with Dragoons in an open range map like Canyon and knows how to play it.
A pack of Hellburners coming to take your Beacon.
You are locked down and Pursuers coming to get you.
My most terrifying robot encounter of all time is...

The one bot that really makes me put on the brakes is when Im in my Ancile Rayker and I meet a Lancelot. My dmg suppression wont affect him and mostly to do dmg I have to break that shield. So I put my Rayker in reverse and look for cover. A sniper Butch also makes me cautious. The newer bots so far are mostly just annoying.
Honorable mention to the other Brit bots Gareth and Galahad because dat shield. Both are Hard to kill bots even when Im carrying Orkans etc. Also the Pursuer with Gusts. When I hear that pock-pock sound I look around and know my bot could be in trouble.

I get right up in the face of a Lance and they cant usually turn their weapons in enough to get me. Especially when they have tarans, it just shoots right past me so I can sit there all day and have fun.
