Yes, and in the mean time my fast-attack bots are getting ripped to shreds.
Why play BR if you aren't going to capture beacons?

I lose so many battles because these idiots try to team-deathmatch it. You win these battles by capturing beacons. And when you meet up at a beacon, then you can battle it out. Of course, I have won battles being the only smart person among the enemy team and my team.

Yep. It's an inherent flaw in the game. That pilot with 4 beacons wanted a team win and look what it got him. If capping a beacon was worth 50k and flipping one was worth 75k, battles might go a little differently. I go for beacons unless it's blatantly obvious my team doesn't care if they win or lose.

Hovers. Hovers are AMAZING when it comes to beacon rush. They can beat kumihos. Then when beacons are under threat, I pop into my Thunder Raijin or Gust Stalker and destroy them. Unless there are orkans. Which destroy my Raijin very quickly.

Possibilities:
1) Players are playing random mode and don't know what mode they're in.
2) Players are legitimately stupid
3) Players are high
4) Players are little kids

If you're all about damage and brawling it out, come play FFA. This is the reason why I quit these team modes. There were always players who sit back with one good long range setup and just go for the damage disregarding team play.

Same thing here, my damage is way up but the win rate has dropped. I think there are two main reasons for it.
First, I had to retire kumiho, my primary beacon grabber. What's the point of having fast bot if it lags so bad that it nullifies your speed? Second, since Pixonic decided to beef up some tank bots and sniper weapons it's much harder to go for beacons without sacrificing a bot.

There were always players who sit back with one good long range setup and just go for the damage disregarding team play. Sometimes though, it's the red team that's doing it. I played a game last night where 3 reds spawned in Zenith Natties, THREE. All I saw where open beacons in front of me, zip, zip, zip in my little Strider and they couldn't lead me enough. I think I captured 6 beacons that game and got the 5 Au bonus.
Thank you, Reds.

Sometimes it's your team, sometimes it's their. I remember one game during those chain task events and I was on a beacon task. Reds were mostly campers and slow bots and I managed to get a whopping 12 or 14 beacons that game. It was a long time ago so don't really have a screenshot.

Hey, ya gotta do what ya gotta do...if I see my team isn’t interested in capping or supporting the capper, I go for points. So many times I try to cap a non-home beacon, indicating to my teammates that I’m going for it and they leave me hanging. The other day I was in a goon carnage in dead city. Capped the red’s bridge beacon and died, respawned at our bridge to go for the opposite red beacon as I knew the reds were busy on the other side of the map. There was a treb fury and a zenit/tempest Natasha up on the there. I fired shots at them and then in the direction of the beacon when I got their attention. I went for it, capped but had to back off as a taran haechi intercepted me. I took cover in the little alcove on the side of the map and we got into a corner shooting standoff. I figured I’d run across the field and draw him out where shock and awe on the bridge could take him, so I broke for the opposite side, the haechi dashed out but no shock and awe...no blistering treb fire or screen shaking zenit ordinance nor the whizzing of tempest rounds past my dome. I take a quick look back as the haechi bears down and see those dudes shooting at the opposite bridge, because a lot of reds are over there trying to turn that beacon I flipped 25 seconds ago... Seriously? That’s how they play support? Respawned and a scourge Fujin joined them on the bridge( ). I just went for points for the remainder of the game and, yes, we lost. At least I didn’t lose any league points

Capturing beacons is one thing. Defending them is another. I'm running a slow legacy bot hangar for DOM and I rarely get to the beacons in time to turn them blue. I do defend them and keep them blue after they are abandoned though.

That's why I usually get 2nd or 3rd in damage points. 1st place comes from taking the fight to the reds when most others hang back under cover.... Legacy bots are still effective. My mk1 lvl12 Gareths are tough enough to cap and brawl with most other beacon cappers.

As long as the mechanics allow one to get more silver and honor for losing but getting top damage than they can by winning and getting low damage people will continue to focus more on damage than victory. This has been a problem as far back as I can remember.
Even if you do play to win, you're just enabling the pricks on your team who didn't use tactics, but rather just hid and stole kills to get some gold as well.
This destroys the team play aspect.(just like the guys in KOTH who stood on inactive beacons the entire game)
I think it would help if they changed BR to give rewards for damage received instead of damage done. This would encourage beacon rushing over cowering and taking potshots.
In short people are simply doing what they are getting rewarded for. This one is 100% on Pixonic. Join a clan, or suck it up buttercup. This is the world in which we live.

Sadly, this has happened to me more times then I care to think about. I kill all I can and still hold beacons but the rest of the team just cant get it together that game. It even happens with your own clan AND your on coms too. You just got deal with it and move on..
