Thinking about some unusual Leo builds.
Flux/Gekko Dragoon/Spark Zeus/Spark Chimera/Spiral Thermite/Aphid Dragoon/Pin Trident/Pin Ember/Spark Zenit/Arbalest (lol)
Any thoughts on these?

I once ran a Trebuchet Gekko Leo. A very effective supressor but it gets little damage so I only used it for a week.

I've ran both the Thermite Aphid and Flux Gekko. I recommend the Thermite Aphid because it is more fun but the Flux Gekko Leo is good place until a 2nd Flux can be had.
Thermite Aphid Leo: It packs a punch but you need to be accustomed to these types of weapons and proficient with their use. I've always liked Aphids so I was familiar with them and able to quickly become proficient with the build. I retired the Thermite Aphid Leo in favor of a Thermite Falcon. The Falcon can do more damage but it not as forgiving to mistakes as the Leo.
Flux Gekko Leo: It is useful if you have only one Flux. I would rather have a Flux Gekko Natasha but I am a few comps away from my 2nd Flux and it is painful to level up so the Leo has been in my DOM hangar a while.
Of the two Leo's I am running the other is a Ember, Shredder Gust Leo. The Shredder will glue a bot in place for the Ember to melt. The gusts help but at 350m where the glueing takes place most often I am open to other options.
I'm considering a Glory Gust Leo too. I have Glory I need to level up at some point for Hellburner or Mercury use and a Gust Leo would be a good bot to put it to use and level up.

kamikazejohnson please update your profile with current league, so you will get better answer. I do remember I played Aphid Ancile Leo up to lower Masters before the dash bots era. It packed punch, was difficult to kill (Ancile + large HP pool) and I was providing protection to other bots with my Ancile. Many times my Leo lasted through whole game. If you know how to lob Aphids, then it's still a viable option. Especially after the Ancile buff during the last update. You have to watch out for fast bots (Pursuer, Kumiho) who can get you in no time. You know, Leo is not a speed daemon ;-)

I would go for zeus spark build. replace zeus with dragoon if you have one. not that I have dragoon, and sparks, or use a leo. give a try to the builds below avenger/punishers long sustained barrage as the above build, but more destructive. avenger/shredders less fire power than the one above, but rooting the reds will give you extra 5 sec fun with your avenger

avenger/halo sounds fun as well for more rooting probability and slightly higher damage output at the expanse of range

Out of the choices... Dragoon + Spark #1 Thermite + Aphid #2 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Out of all of the available options in the game right now, I would run an Avenger + Shredders if could just choose anything. Out of what I have right now I'd run Avenger + 1 Halo and 2 Gusts, or Avenger + Sparks.
*begins to think about leveling one to 9 on my iOS account to try... hmmm... opens game*

Flux/Gekko i been wanting to try but need like over 6k to get one the Leo i run now is a Dragoon(10)/Shredder(7)/ 2 Gust(10). i get good milage out of it and is a Constant in my Hanger.

kamikazejohnson please update your profile with current league, so you will get better answer. I have 2 accounts, one in Expert I, the other in Gold III. Currently running a 9/9 Redeemer/Magnum Leo in my E3 account. Just curious (in a general sense) if any screwball Leo builds are effective/fun.

I'm running a flux and three gecko Leo too! It doesn't pull high numbers yet but it does a great job getting people to run for cover. I like the build because it's easy to synch up all your weapons. Trebuchet has a 23 second charger so you have to wait a long time to get the most out of all your weapons. The build I'd like to try is the spiral/chimera one. I have two builds tied for the oddest build. The first was a Zenit/Noricum/2x Molet build. I guess they wanted to be artillery but didn't want to risk be caught empty handed if a Red came near. The second was an Ancile/Ecu/2x Pinata. This was on the Red team. He lasted quite a while actually.

Just curious (in a general sense) if any screwball Leo builds are effective/fun. I’ve just come back after a few months away from the game. I enjoyed running a Thunder/Aphid Leo - stay safe and lob aphids over cover, then when someone comes around a corner, whack them with the Thunder. (I’m in Gold 1, to give context to this.)

Flashlight Leo. I use gek with ether thuder for close protect or goon till i get my flux lvld. Great for trolling right now but with flux might be my long ranger if effective enough

I run a Flux / Gecko Leo which is fun on the big maps. But the up in your face small map action is not a happy place for that set-up.

It may seem like an odd build now but that was one of the mainstays in an older era. Thunder Magnum, Thunder Aphid and Ancile Alphid were common across a number of leagues pre-dash. Even after the dash release it took some time for things to trickle down to lower leagues.
