I don't understand fully what a player would like from me when he / she invites me to a clan. What I mean is, if I'm in a clan what are my expectations?
I'd like to accept an invitation to a clan but don't want to be a liability. I'm only able to play Robot Wars for an hour every day, so I don't know if that means I can contribute much to the clan in terms of teamwork.
Should I accept a clan invitation or, for the sake of the clan, refuse it?

Up to you. You can always leave if you don't like it.
Well, unless you are the kind of person, who can't leave something like a clan. Then you need to pick the right clan right out of the box, so you don't get stuck in a clan which doesn't work for you.

(Disclaimer: replying only to the thread title, thanks to the Quarantine.) You can bypass the quarantine filter by switching between desktop and mobile versions, if you ever want to read one. Agree with what you said about checking a clan out and leaving if it’s not your cup of tea.

Sorry, I'm still wondering what my "responsibilities" would be in the clan. What are the benefits / disadvantages of being in a clan versus playing solo?

Sorry, I'm still wondering what my "responsibilities" would be in the clan. What are the benefits / disadvantages of being in a clan versus playing solo? If you got a random join invite, then you probably don't know it before joining. It depends on clan what they are expecting. Some do have Discord/Line/FB group for the members and perhaps you can join to it before joining into clan in game to see what's like... For example in our clan there is no hard requirements with high activity. We are mostly casual (but daily playing) members keeping a laid back clan. No one is kicked out just because he/she is not squadding every single day To me looks like you want to know more before joining. Search clans from Clan recruitment board if you find good one and try to join. Or put call out you are seeking clan and wait what is offered.

Get the clan ID and search the rank
If high level rank = means they want you so bad. Perhaps you've fight real good in a match and they want you to be in their clan. If low level rank = perhaps the clan is still building it's members or replacing some idle members. If too low level rank = maybe a starter clan trying to fill up members.
Benefit: You'll get additional clan task and better playing experience as a team.
