I'm in Gold 1 and have 2 Gusts and 2 Storms. Currently they are sitting on a Griffin. I also have an unused Rhino and Leo. Which would be the better build since I'm sitting on the Gold 2/ Gold 1 edge?
Storm / Gust Griffin? Storm / Gust Rhino? Thunder or Ancile / Gust Leo?
I can build the 3rd Gust and possibly the Ancile. Thanks

Out of those 3 bots, the Griffin has the best chance of getting into PB range fast to take advantage of the damage.

defo the Griffin Storm/Gust - L9 should do it - it is one of my fave all time builds. Leo is ggreat but a bit slow - better off with Molots Rhino is too ugly to talk about

I like Gusts on the Leo. It is slow and vulnerable out in the open but a beast once put in position. I like to position it to where I have cover and force reds to come around the corner at close range to push me off the position like center beacon on Valley, Rome ect. It is also a good bot to round a corner with and hit reds bunched up on a beacon. It works fairly well as a beacon ambush bot in BR and TDM if you watch the map can catch a red near a spawn point.
Gusts on a DB Griffin are great too. I don't like them paired to Storm but when paired to Orkans they can be devastating in a Griffin. You lack the splash of the Pinatas but the Gusts can quickly drop and ancile shield to hit the bot underneath with Orkans and the steady fire of the Gust os helpful in finishing off a bot while the Orkans are in reload.

I run a Shotgun Leo with one Gekko because it takes just too long to get into the kill zone and that one laser pointer can make the world of difference at pointing and killing a low in life distance red.
I've been umming and ahhhrrring as to what to run this as but now that they have given us the option to select the mode I'll convert it to an all out shotgun again because it's a beast to beacon drop onto a red.

I used to do that in my early Gold days with a Natasha with double Thunders/double Pinatas. Was fun.

Is there a technique? You can't just jump and attack, can you?

Chews through ancile. Chews through shield. Can hit stealth when in the right position. Sprays around to put some pain on a dancing dash bot.

it's not listed but i would go Rhino Gust/Ork i still use it every now and then, use Gust while closing in then WHAM!! hit them with the Orks. using a Rhino takes a little Finesse, but if you learn to use it right it can still shine since Energy weapons are every where, it is very Survivable even in the Land of Splash.

Thanks Storm Gust Grif > Storm Gust Rhino because of the ambush and missile escape potential. Rhino is ok, but Griff can still be relevant all the way up to Champ. Leo..... do Avenger/Gust Leo and you won't be disappointed. It would be a monster.

I did run Shotty Rhino earlier this year. It's the quickest heavy at 60km and you can drop anciles or wait for your opponent to reload, covered by your shield before you rush in and unload.
