Hi, Obviously a lot has changed....loads of new bits/weapons + Workshop etc etc
Previously I had the most fun with speedy (not dash unfortunately) bots
Jesse with Aphids
Rog with Orkans
Hover with Tarans
Carnage with Zeus
and a dependable DB Griffin
What should I be looking at now? The Pursuer looks right up my street (Gusts?) and not that long for its components. Vortex look better for a Hover I think. What could I aim for instead of my Carnage and Griffin?

I think Elite Dangerous or Last Man Standing look like good games.

Hard to say... much easier to acquire anything you want so you should just start acquiring. Upgrade times are horrible... but might as well get cracking.
Stealth and Dashers are everyones' backbone.
Missiles (Orkan and Tulu) are still the top mount... but good to mix it up.
After that it's how you like to play.

To be fair, at the end of the day don't take the game too seriously. Build what you want for fun and don't chase the meta. It's all superficial.
I just finished crafting my last vortex for a quad-V specter. Gust pursuer is lvl 7 all around. Still have a blast using a dragoon fury and I'm having fun with a storm specter.
Hey if ST specter is your thing, and you love it outside of the fact that it is OP, have at it. I don't really have too much fun with orkans, since it's just point and shoot but that's most weapons anyway. maybe it's the fact that orkans on specter is so overplayed but I find it still enjoyable to run on a haechi. I like closing the gap and playing dirty so shotguns are always a staple in my hangar.
Might get a hover so I can swap between specter and hover vortex builds. Been seeing a lot of Aphex Hovers and it looks satisfying dropping mini nukes from 2000 meters up |

Get 2 - 3 avengers from ws2.0
Shove them on the carnage.
Do you enjoy Jesse aphid? If yes. get aphex hover.
No? Pursuer gust
If you really like zarnage then replace DB griff with avenger carnage.
Carnage and Haechi power gap is closing slowly. Avengers are way better than thunder or 3 punisher T.
New resistance will make Carnage have higher longevity than before.
