With new workshop, everything is available, but extremely expensive to upgrade. I wonder whether I should invest in new stuff like medic bots, root weapons and how should I do it. I'm in champion and my hangar looks like this:
Ember MK2/Taran Inquisitor
Dragoon Bulwark
Orkan Spectre
Scourge Ancilot
Shocktrain Bulgasari
(I have also 3 Vortexes, another Scourge, Haechi, Hover, Kumiho and all silver/gold/WSP gear (old economy) + Shredder)
Should I try to get new stuff and weapons, or should I focus on upgrading these right now? I've been considering Ember/Ancile or Chimera Weyland, but with these prices I must be sure it'll be better than my current robots. Root weapons also looks great but I don't know where to use them.

I may be just in Diamond, so my advice may not have merit. You have a dream hangar so I would concentrate on leveling that but keep the workshop churning out new bots and weapons for when you reach that sweet spot with your current hangar and are ready to inject some variety, you'll already have the new bots and weapons ready and waiting for upgrade.

Do you prefer to continue with 2.5 mid rang set ups (scourge is the .5)?
But in either case, Scourges on a Bulga would sit much more nicely and give you the chance to give the lance a rest. The old boy is approaching retirement. Then you need to sort out what you want to put in instead of the lance. Maybe a ST Spectre if you want ST capability….or an Ork Haeich (from the inventory) for damage…. With the imminent release of the new bots I would not collect spectre bits for the time being. Chuck in an ork or taran haechi and save your silver until the picture becomes clearer.

I think keeping workshop working without any actual target is bad idea - it'll consume too much silver. I think I'll create Weyland anyway and then try different setups, as this bot looks very appealing to me.

Thank you for your advices! That's a great hangar and if were mine the Lance would be on the chopping block in favor of the Kumi for beacon capture... a Pursuer for beacon capture assassinations... The Haechi for general purpose work. I love how tough the Lance is, but you have a Bulwark already, and Lance is super slow. Get something that can get you to the fight. |
