Actually, give it a buff by adding 3 more rockets Funnily enough, this is a good idea. Double the amount of rockets, and then halve the amount of damage per rocket, as well as lower the splash. This means it's a lot harder to hit targets with all rockets, lessening the effectiveness

I like them all. Of course I shelved my 5 gepard hangar voluntarily seeing the OPness if it. Tridents would be fine if splash in this game worked like the rest of the universe does.

Like here if you would prefer tridents to be buffed rather than nerfed, cuz I sure as heck would.

I'd like tridents, pins and tulumbas to explode on impact. It will blow up if it hits something or if it reaches it's maximum aim.
MRS will them have to be used by skilled pilots with nice aim, rather than a bunch of dim wits in trident furies.

No nerf, just let it fire 1 or 2 rockets if needed and reload when not fully empty.

I think the Molot buff and "soon" to be Gekko buff might be enough but the splash is a little larger and makes it so hard to hide from them. With the new Molots I've riddled a lot of singers and other midrangers. When the new heavy Molot comes out I'm sure there will be another poll to need that.

I have found that Tridents work We'll and am unsure why they need a buff or nerf really. What seems to be the problem? They hurt but are a pain to use at times, requiring some skill to hit with. The fact that you must fire all 3 rockets when you shoot also balances well.
So please, explain why people view the trident as OP?

-5m splash range. It would go from 30 to 25m. Also Tulumbas need -5m as well.

Id prefer it if the Trident shot once per button press ... and that single rocket had a reload time ... you miss with shot 1 ...they are all likely to go to 「dookie」e and you have an age to wait to do anything useful again
I have 2 Tridents on a Carnage that is currently benched in favour of a DB griff (Pin/Tulum)... not diggin the trident ...or understand the need for a nerf

From what I have seen...those asking for a trident nerf are on the receiving end and have never used the weapon. They want balance based on stats they see and not on how hard it is to actually use them.
I have found many people are surprised that Tridents must fire all 3 rockets with one button press and that you can't only fire 1 round. They don't understand the limitations this imposes on weapon use or how hard it is to line up 2 targets do your first round kills one and the other 2 aren't wasted.

No nerf. No buff. Gold weapon..... Good idea. Instead of nerfing it just turn it into a gold weapon. Then drop the aphid as a WSP weapon instead.

This is why you don't RB fire tridents at low health enemies. Tap 1 and move on to the next target. Also you are making assumptions. The splash should be smaller due to the general lack or small size of cover around most beacons.

Heck if there is a lack of cover, there is no splash damage as the trident can't hit anything to create the splash. The weapon is fine as is. Complaints about cover mean you need to plan your approach better not nerf a weapon.

Errr...ok...umm. I've not found any particular weapon to be stand out issue to me at all. I have only played 3 weeks, but on a daily for hour at the least. I am only in silver 2 or 3 kinda forgot...what ever.
For every bot config, I have one toon in my hangar that can counter it. yeah my Galahad does not like the Trident or Orkan guys...but who else is going to stop him? Ive found that they did a good job in making weaknesses in all bots that we can exploit. Some builds are just not good vs others.
I don't get the Trident hate though. I have that and zeus on a heavy. Sure its effective at range and having friends cover you. You catch me solo , I am screwed with that reload time.
My Galahad is probably my best bot in my hangar. The only guy that's going to stop him is beefed up rockets or a trident. Even then, I have learned to fight back against them.
It's hard to say nerf this or that when we have weapon levels and bot levels to consider. The only way I will know if we all had maxed out bots and weapons to test out.
Even then with data farming by the devs. They will tweak the numbers one way then the other till they find the happy med. data to go with. (tested alpha and beta for years since the 90s)
I surely can't base any weapon suggestions off of game play. We vary too much in bot levels, weapon levels.

Needs a reduction in splash dmg. In fact I'm in favour of bumping up the dmg by 1-2 percent but reducing splash. I also like the idea of instead of firing 3 rockets, fire 2 volleys of 3 and reduce dmg by 40%. If they hit with both volleys, you take on more dmg however there's a chance some of them miss therefore overall less dmg, up to skill.

Complaints about cover mean you need to plan your approach better not nerf a weapon. What's easier: Map changes or small number adjustment. The large splash radius reduces the skill required to use this item. I'm not calling for a damage nerf but a skill cap increase. Also the splash goes through some cover. Shrinking the splash will reduce this effect.

NO MORE NERFS. The only time they become ridiculous is if you are not the same level as the ones using them and there are 3 bots running them at the same time with good close support... like a squad or randoms that have a brain (very rare occurrence). Otherwise, they are more than defeatable. If you don't have a Carny or an ancile to put on another bot, get one. Or tail someone in your team. If none of those are options, keep tabs of the Trident bot and look at the map and where the Trident bot is. Figure out a way to use cover to get in range and then give it hell. No, it isn't easy with a Leo or a Natasha to do that... but you can sure put a long range weapon on there and suppress the crap out of them. There really are a lot of ways to deal with them. They are powerful, yes. But not invincible and not OP. I used to think so... not anymore. Zeus Carny is a direct counter, for instance. An all WSP option is Treb Carny. Lots of other ways, too. If you need to nerf something just to do it... nerf the nerfhammer.
