Jumping from one target to another right as you fire or in the middle of firing.
Refusing to cycle through targets, no matter how many times you hit that ?fluffernutter?ing button.
Auto-selecting a red 600 meters away, instead of the red right in front of you, shooting you in the face.
W...T...F
Pix, enough with the new bots every other week. Fix the basic ?dookie? like the !&@$#*$#&!@ targeting system.
/rant...for now

Sometimes I have to hit that button several times to get it to lock onto the the red I want it to. By that time I have already taken some serious damage. Makes me not want to use it. But if I don't some times my lock on mode Jumps all over the place.

It's especially annoying when you're trying to snipe, like you're going for that juicy Trebuchet shot on a Carnage then suddenly it jumps and instead opts to fire at the Gareth in the distance.

Yup, particularly painful when sniping. I use Kang Daes on one of my LR hangar bots (I'm attached to the build), and that weapon needs all the help it can get. Leading a shot from 1000 metres to finish off a blissfully unaware red, wait ... wait ... fire! And it fires into the wall infront of a red at the edge of the screen. That reload wait is p a i n f u l. It doesn't even seem to follow any discernable logic either. Sometimes you're pounding the button and refuses to move at all, as the red walks off slowly confused or moves in for the kill. Gekkos expose it very well. Sometimes it looks like the pilot is having an actual seizure, but you know it's just the gammy aiming. I feel better.

Would a < and a > button work, in addition to the Lock button? < going to the enemy to the left from the one you are currently targeting. > going to the enemy to the right from the one you are currently targeting. While keeping the Lock button as is, namely Locking, with additional presses to cycle up and down through opponents within the width of corsair? I think it would. Maybe, if many agree, it can be suggested to Pixonic from a player’s perspective. I’ve learned to deal with the current targeting system, but yes, it’s far from ideal.
