Presently there are 29 component robots and weapons available. I have 24 at less than 50% and the vast majority (17) of those are at less than 25%. The "black market" moves you along at a snail's pace.
What's the point? The last update brought us more component choices and one can only presume there are more to follow. I've stopped paying attention to what the new bots/weps do.
On a whim (prompted by a different thread), I've decided to max out a Noricum Patton...why not? It's just as futile as trying to complete a single component bot/wep. I'm dusting off my all annoying hangar (Spiral Jesse, Hydra Doc, Noricum Patton, Zenit Butch, and Gekko Patton...all 10/10 or higher) and concentrating all fire on a single player the entire game (tanker/seal clubber if easily identifiable). The only thing worse than getting pelted for 10 straight minutes is spending 10 straight minutes pelting somebody.
At least it keeps the game interesting. Or I go all light and see if I can be top damage in one of the lower tiers (gold/diamond) or top capper in all heavies--game within a game stuff
Haven't had a compelling, heart pounding game in months. Sigh.

Sigh. Just remember, these components are introduced to reduce the complexity of too many currencies( 5, before components hit). Now we have just 25(?) currencies. Ooh ?dookie?, it sounded right in my head.

And also remember that bots are easier to acquire. Three times!
....hmmm, maybe pix was talking about gareths and boas.
but yes you are experiencing what many were saying months ago. Dilution of the prize pool by the sheer number of itmes makes getting a particular item that you want unlikely. despite all the currencies and in game earning potential, players have limited choice and its very hard to acquire anything decent before the life cycle of the product is nearing an end.

Completely agree, I've recently sold all my comps ALL my comps bar Spectre. I'll sell that too if the new economy hits before I get it all.
If they introduced universal comps, well that would be just dandy.
No, they'll give us bots that suicide instead.
Nobody has yet complained about there being not enough bots in the game. Take a break PIX, give it a little TLC and then slap us with a new META
