I’ve been using a SteelSeries Nimbus to play war robots for almost a year. Got on today after updating the game to find that it’s now broken. Now I have to look up and down to look left and right. Great update from a company that puts out garbage anyway.

I’m thinking maybe they are trying to remove controls from anything but a phone or tablet and try to make War Robots an esport

Possible. I haven’t tested keyboard controls, will test tomorrow. Seems counter productive to mess with control mapping when the game has so many other issues.

We don't do it primarily for that, but bcuz of saving the battery on the phone(war robots drains battery so much, even more than some more graphic heavy games), and i don't feel like charging my phone 5 times a day and buying new battery every so often. Also, some people don't have S9s, and game lags for them, so why not play on the stronger device ?
I can confirm keyboard on emulator is working after 3.9

I dont have s9 also,i play it on lg g3! I know it drains battery fast, thats why i play with my charger in! I never liked any kind of cheating thats why i endure all the same problems everyone else does.If we all have same problems then its ok right?

Lg g3 is like 3x stronger phone than mine, and that phone should be able to handle War Robots easily. Keeping phone on charger while playing isn't good, mainly for battery itself, but also cuz it heats up more, which might result in component failure. You can also buy OTG adapter for your phone, which is pretty cheap, and play War Robots on keyboard and mouse, if you are so worried about emulator players having the advantage, which isn't that great tbh, War Robots has auto aim for most weapons anyway.(I assume you don't have the pc that can handle emulator play) I can assure you, many people, including me will stop playing this game if Pix drops emulator support, can't afford to let my phone die over a phone game.

They are both mobile devices. The iPad Pro performs remarkably better in War Robots. So you are saying it’s cheating to use better hardware? Not to put too fine of a point on it, but do you know how digital gaming works? Hardware,(and possibly software on non iOS,) and connections are king. It is bad manners to ask to gimp other players because you are inferior in one or both categories.

Great update from a company that puts out garbage anyway. Please be sure to contact Pixonic through the in-game HELP menu. Due to acute pain in my fingers and wrists, I’m unable to play an intense game, such as War Robots, using the touchscreen. Having a controller allows me to enjoy the game. MFi controllers come with major drawbacks. They are unable to instantly turn left and right as when swiping a touchscreen since the controller traverses the torso at a steady rate. Furthermore, using a special ability requires taking a hand off the controller to touch the screen and push the ability button, losing valuable seconds of offense. Robots with the Dash ability are particularly hampered by this limitation. Because of my painful condition, these are acceptable trade offs for me. For anyone not suffering from injuries, I don’t recommend controllers. When I first began playing and endured the pain without a controller, I was able to react much more effectively using my fingers. I’m content with not being able to play in the top leagues with a controller due to the reduced effectiveness of using the new robots. Without a controller, I will practically have to stop.

Asking me do i know what digital gaming is,is like asking Pope is he a catholic. When it comes to my knowledge about hardware i am far beyond of what you can imagine.I dont mind you playing on your iPad pro.Your justification of emulators is futile.

Same boat with injuries to the hand. Sad they broke the MFi configuration. Means I can’t play after taking shrapnel to my hands.

Such as: www.jxdofficial.com/jxd-s5800-3g-phone-game-console-358.htmlIt's not cheating just cause you wanna use a touch screen.. hey wait a minute maybe your phone has a bigger screen than mine.. unfair! Get real.

Been thinking about switch keyboard control if possible because my hands get really bad after 2-3 matches.
Is it possible to use keyboard and mouse for tablets?

most android devices will accept kb/mice.. bt or via OTG cable.. but as for how it works in War Robots I have no idea.
On Apple devices I haven't a clue.
On windows tablets, absolutely, but im guessing you're not asking about win-tabs

Exactly the same for me- touchscreen is very difficult as I have issues with fine motor control in my hands. I use a Mad cats controller and it has always been a trade off for pros and cons. I couldn't say that it gave me an unfair advantage as their was no special ability button and or jump etc. I'm basically going to have to give up a game after a couple of years playing - seems such a shame that it's happened.

While I don’t have any motor or pain issues (thankfully), I sometimes struggle to play effectively using this touch screen as the screen has lost it’s smoothness so my thumbs and finger are hard to glide, which makes fine control very difficult; sometimes it’s nearly as friction-laden as rubber.... I think perhaps, whatever chemical coating they applied to the screen protector has worn off, but I can’t be bothered replacing this yet.
Some controller support would be a nice way to alleviate this issue.

Just sharing that gamevice doesn’t work in 3.9
Pretty bummed since I started playing this game 1.5 years ago and the gamevice has been my controller of choice for War Robots.
Oh well, it is what it is *shrug*

Pixonic sure stealthed the update in - I don't remember seeing anything about this. Seeing as Pix love money so much why don't they develop a Branded Controller and sell it with Max compatibility with War Robots?

I was told by support that the game never had controller support. They then ended the conversation. When I started a new conversation with support about it, they immediately ended the conversation without any reply. I’m actually amazed they have such terrible customer service.

I have no experience using external controllers. So it's difficult to comment on the problems with the action. However, talking about the discussion that resulted, in my opinion, the controllers are acceptable - for something they were created - someone paid for it to work. But the emulators on pc are a kind of cheat... I play a lot on the same PC in other games (don't have fb gameroom and war robots on pc) and the most comfortable I would use the keyboard and mouse to play. Playing directly on a phone requires learning a different skill from using the phone to get something
