Can anyone please explain to me why I have Never seen an Asian player without a full dasher hanger full of shocktrains in expert leagues. Every last one has $1,000 dollar hangers. Frustrating as all hell...

I have seen the same thing, I never see a player with asian fonted names with anything less than L12 anything. It is like they become a pilot and the next day they are maxed out.
I guess I dont understand either. there is no fun in maxing out a bot to run him the first time.
are they compensating for something?

Isnt there a separate asian server? you might not be seeing the main lot of them.

I'm an Asian player living in San Diego CA. I'm in champion league and my gear is not mk2 lvl 12. Most of my bots are 10-11.
Did you mean the Asian server? Your generalization is offensive.

Ok, first off I would like to say my intention was not to offend anyone. I am in San Diego CA. I meant Asian fonted players. Time zone is Pacific. Literally never ran into less than stacked hangers. Honestly. I'm in between these last 2 expert leagues.

Side bar: Am I the only one that thinks max characters for a pilot name should be 10.. 12 tops? I get sick of seeing these pilot names that are half a screen long.

No offense taken. -------> Captain here: -Asian players from mainland with the asian taggs who actually have time to play are either done with school and are working jobs or dropouts. School in Asia is well known to equal death so no time to play at all.... :/ -Hacking is so highly developed in china that it wouldn't be surprising at all that they hacked their gold - Chinese people who invest in video games have the financial power to invest thousands without even blinking. It is easy to identify Asian players with high hangars based on your statement, but let's not forget the USD may not be as strong as other foreign currency. What may be a $100 to you, maybe $90 to them. Also the UAE has crazy money, and you can't ignore those players  I applaud you if you are a FTP, hanging on to the Leos, Lances, Griffins, and classic bots. It takes a lot of effort to maintain that kind hanger and upgrades. I am sure if the Dash bots had no cost to them, you would run it. The knowledgeable player with basic math skills, will know what is the current META is, and will focus all their resources on META. If you take best players in the world, and do 6 classics vs 6 METAs over 100 battles, you can pretty much guess the outcome. You can't blame them for running them. |

What does "Asian fonted" actually mean? I'm already wondering if your generalizations are as valid as you think.
I put my name in "Asian fonts" (Chinese, by the way) when I started. I'm nowhere near MK2's. There are Japanese YouTubers who just compete in Diamond with level 8-10. I've seen some whack hangars (not the Champ-tier kind) from Korean players before.
So you either haven't run into them before, or frankly, I find it way more likely that you can't tell the difference. Do you bother to look at hangars named after chickenscratch when you've won, or are you just venting after getting stomped by a bunch of Chinese hackers in Expert? If you're frustrated, cool. I've been there too. It sucks. However, that stomping has come from Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and probably most commonly, "English-fonted" names. Oh, and Cyrillic too because Pixonic. Don't go making generalizations you can't back up and take it out on a set of players that have nothing to do with your misery.
Even Eminem knows that his anger was only effective when he knew where to aim it at (source: Airplanes Part II). This thread is just mom's spaghetti. Go Wikipedia representative bias and knock this garbage off. Peace.

There was an article linked here, in the thread about the Pix CEO leaving, or whatever his title was, and this article was about how games monetize. It mentioned how some years ago P2W became standard in Asia. That that culture is not as turned off by P2W and almost expect it, while westerners will whine.
However, to the OP, I see plenty of Asian fonted names without maxed meta hangars and conversely plenty of English fonted names with maxed meta hangars.

Yes, I hate that, or dots or really any decoration. I wish there was an option to just show names as digits 1-6 or letters A-F. |
