I caught the start of a Manni Gaming Video over the weekend and noticed that Pix are messing with the heavy artillery, in respects to reload times and shot distance for these 2. What struck me as weird, was that Pix have drastically reduced the range on both of the these to 600metres. Decreased the load time...... but a huge reduction in distance. Not sure if this is too resurrect the weapons or bury them for good, I'm presuming the latter. Tempest has a max range of 800metres and these 2 sods are well short of the auto cannon range, why would you bother. Has anyone else heard this?
Just seems to be more emphasis on component weapons and robots. The silver bots and weapons are like the dinosaurs, heading to extinction. It almost feel like we are being corralled into what Pix want - here's the monthly special, and you will have it. Any idea how much the Exodus will be? But then add that to the new "Falcon" with 3 Heavy hardpoints, that won't be frustrating to be on the receiving end of that...... will it??? I can't see it ending, other than how deep you can sink your hands into to your pockets, and please forgive me if you enjoy spending money on the game, totally fine with that, but I wonder if Pix will ever address the out of balance weapon purchase currencies. Doubt it, me too. Enjoy.

I think it's good personally, Kang Dae is considered to be better than Nashorn, and they're close enough that they're just redundant. And last I heard, it was the Nashorn they were tweaking.

A few test servers ago, Pix offered up Nashorn and Kang Dae with reduced reload time and reduced range. They also offered up Trident with auto reload at 500 meters. I kind of liked the auto reload Trident, but I didnt' care for the faster loading, shorter ranged big guns. As you said, I thought it made them even more redundant.
Anyway, that was on the test server a few weeks ago. I haven't heard whether or not Pix decided to go through with the range nerf. From what I read on the Forum post test server, most people were against the range nerf.

Yes from Manni's vid they appear to be trying to bring the kang dae back into circulation a bit. Major decrease in reload and pushed the range back up to 800 to keep your fragile nattys away from the nasty haechi piranhas. He said it worked out roughly double its previous dpm.
I bought two at that very moment. If theyre buffing it theres a strong chance it will become a component weapon. For a million silver it might be worth getting just in case. I missed out on getting a schutze before it was pulled, I'm not making that mistake again!

I remember Nashorn and Kang Dae with looooooooong reload times, no splash damage, minimum damage.

Nashorn was taken to 600m and Kang Dae to 800m. Both reloads to 6s. Dmg was tweaked, but don't remember the specifics.

I have several Nashorns upgraded to 8 or better in the Android profiles that I no longer play with. I need to upgrade a few for my Amazon account. I actually liked using them.
Even un-tweaked the Nashorn delivers decent damage and does so in a way that most enemies ignore them until it's too late. Yes, they're nowhere near potent but still capable of standoff fighting. Per minute the Nashorn delivers more damage than the King Dae.
I'm glad to see that the older cannons are being tweaked a bit. I suggested a semi-auto edition of each having shorter ranges and 5-6 shot clips doing normal damage per shot. A one shot per second firing rate with a full clip reload time comparable to the originals. This would make both weapons viable meta additions on par with Dragoons and Redeemers. Personally I'd love hearing the boom-boom-boom or bam-bam-bam of a heavy auto cannon over a whining or thumping series of energy discharges any day.

IMO, if they wanted to do something about these ancient weapons, they need to do something more drastic and keep them different from each other. Like this:
Nashorn - semi auto autocannon. 4 shot clip. 10s reload. 1 shot per second, 600m range. Basically a kinetic version of the Dragoon.
Kang Dae - single shot gauss cannon or rail gun. 6s reload, accurate to 800m with possible hit to 1000m - basically the shot would angle down after 800m so there would be potential damage to legs of the bot. How cool is that? You could slow down a fast bot before it can cap the CB. x2 damage to physical shields.

If you see the shot it's easy to dodge with a dash bot. Of course Haechi with it's energy shield can just ignore them.

As a closet K Dae user I welcome any buff.
Nerfing range to make it, basically a mid range does an injustice to LR and MR imo.
Needs a considerable damage buff or a buff to reload or a slight buff to both.
Needing range is a bad idea though.
In fairness to Pix (that's a rare opening), they'll probably do a Trident on it and renage on the range nerf.
