...you know the one.
He stays back out of danger the whole battle and never gets killed, until the rest of his team is wiped. Then, one by one, he spawns in his remaining bots and you have to chase him all over the 「fluffernutter」ing field to finish the game. Or, he's on your team and he keeps doing that while you just have to sit there waiting to get your bronze chest commercial.
I hate that guy.
Plus, you know he goes back to his clanmates or his friends, if he has any, and is like: 'Yeah, bruh, it took their whole team to kill all my bots.'
No, bruh. It took one guy to kill you and the rest of the team to molest your corpse.

I am THAT GUY allot on TDM I also normally end up in first place for kills and damage being THAT GUY. You have a blessed day now.

If this player scores high score, I'm perfectly fine. For example Hydra Fujin can be really powerful bot, also snipers on long maps.
This is TDM. It doesn't matter where you are, damage is the only important thing.

Don't hate the players they are doing what TDM rewards them to do. We just need an inventive to push players into the fight. Think shrinking map or something similar.

Yes, you have to stay alive, but you also need to kill more reds than reds kill blues, and the best way to do this is to team up with other blues and outnumber reds, which is kinda difficult to pull off if you're the last remaining blue because you spent the whole game behind cover diddling yourself while your teammates were out getting blowed up. All you do is put your team at a disadvantage, and then leave yourself at more of a disadvantage. So I still have no idea what purpose is served by being THAT GUY, other than to be able to say you were the last blue standing, which means absolutely squat in TDM.

So do you still loath me when I have 9 or 10 kills and normally win while running solo TDM? Just saying........ And the morons that run in close at the start on ranged maps TDM what about those poor souls.

I hated TDM myself and usually played it like a total bonehead just to end the misery as quickly as possible, so I'm in no position to loath. If it wins you games, which I have a hard time believing that you win more than you lose with that strategy, then hey, more power to ya.

I honestly think having at least one player hang back in TDM, or any game mode really, and provide mid-long range support and covering fire is essential...I'm not talking about the people that use x4 Noricum Patton -_- I'm talking about players who move constantly and give cover fire to allied knife fighters while they are reloading/moving between cover/ or to help weaken shields so they can deal the most burst dmg possible. Players like you are describing are pretty annoying I agree IF they don't contribute much to the overall game....I would still rather have them than the players who eject from all but 1 bot, rush the enemy with a cossack, and die in 5 seconds

If it wins you games, which I have a hard time believing that you win more than you lose with that strategy, then hey, more power to ya. I have to say my experience is quite similar to Loganspawn Not nearly as dominating of course, since my TDM hangar consists of pea shooters compared to his, but still. In ranged maps a few well co-operating, skilled support pilots can really be the force that helps you win the match. Not always of course, but surprisingly often. I also have grown to like TDM, because it has some features, which perhaps resemble the ”real” combat most of all modes. Most importantly, you try to maximize the damage to the enemy, but at the same time you really have to concentrate on preserving your own force. In beacon games rushing headlong and throwing bot after bot into the knife fight might win the day, but in TDM it rarely does. Also in TDM support pilots really try, or should at least try, to protect the front troops, because every lost friendly counts against them directly. And the third thing I like about TDM is that careless individuals get taken out especially swiftly, as irl. The downside is, IMO you pretty much need a specialised 2nd hangar to succeed solo in TDM ranged map matches. A standard brawling set with maybe one med range support does not seem to work that well most of the times. That’s the case especially if you play with inferior bots in relation to your league (like me for example). Your close rangers just can’t take the beating to get to the enemy before they are brought down - or at least not without well working support to suppress enemy’s ranged bots, so you better hope someone in your team brought their TDM hangar along But then again TDM hangar will be useful also in ranged Domination maps, making those matches more enjoyable, too.
