Greetings pilots. Some of you know me. Most probably don't. I am an officer in the Android Wiki clan, the ?I?ITT€??, as well as said clan's self-appointed contest runner. I recently took over for the godfather of 6 Pack, the one and only Rockwelder, as commissioner of 6 Pack League. It is an honor I don't take lightly. My unwavering intention will be to keep his vision for the league intact. I felt it was time the forum had a dedicated 6 Pack League thread, distinct from the iOS Fight Club. The purpose of this thread is as follows: First, to present a reaffirmation of what the league is all about and what the rules are as a sort of orientation for new players. Secondly, to serve as a direct recruitment portal and gateway to the official Discord league server. Third, to be the official outlet of league news for this forum. And finally, to discuss strategy, gear selection and overall tactics with any interested members of the community. ---- What is 6 Pack League? At its heart, it represents an age old gaming ideal. When presented with a level playing field, gamers who value true skill, sportsmanship, and teamwork can come together for thrilling competition, and the closest, most intense games you will find anywhere. All weapons and bots are capped at level 6, and it's a completely component free environment. Think of it as 'classic' War Robots. The meta is everything up to and including the Wild West bots, and nothing after. We play a single elimination bracket structure. Each round is best of 5 matches, domination mode, random map. Every month the tournament recycles and starts again. Teams can register with a roster of players that is capped at 10. Clan affiliation isn't a prerequisite. Many teams share clanmates, but squad building relies more upon facebook friend connection to facilitate matchmaking. You must have a minimum of 4 players in your team (and squad) to compete if you are on iOS or Android. The 2 newer platforms (Amazon and Facebook Gameroom/Steam) will only have a minimum of 3 for the time being. However, it needs to be emphasized that constructing a roster that can form a full squad consistently is the real goal. There is nothing like full squads in a custom match environment like this. What 6 Pack is not: It is not a place for clubbers and tankers to leverage an advantage against their opponents. If you're looking for a place where you won't be held accountable for a lack of respect for your fellow competitors in the spirit of fair play, then 6 Pack isn't for you. Many of us are proud of the fact that the vast majority of the league community understands this implicitly. One of the things I like to stress over and over again is that this endeavor doesn't succeed unless the passionate gamers who love it all provide their own unique contribution. I'm not a lone administrator - there are so many others who give their time to the league. The core of the league is the players, and the captains and leaders who take the time to wade through all the scheduling and logistics to see their teams grow and improve. And my heartfelt thanks goes out to each and every one of you. And lastly, a few words on prize support. It's true that Pixonic has offered to reward the league with Au and Ag to the top 3 finishers in exchange for video content that helps promote the league (and them obviously). Specifically they have asked if we can livestream the finals on each platform every month. After consulting with most of the leadership it's clear this isn't the easiest thing for just anyone to do. It takes more than just a simple screen recorder and a YouTube account. There's no way to guarantee that top placing teams happen to have a member that can livestream. My position is that it's a bonus if Pixonic wants to give out prize to the league. There's a lot of ways to advertise the league besides livestreaming. There is an official YouTube channel for all the great videos of tournament matches that have been created to this point (which I will be posting in this thread over time). And it's my job to see this continue, and to help draw more content creators into the fold and grow interest. Make no mistake, we do this because it shows how compelling the league is, not because we're trolling for prize support. At the end of the day, if it serves the league and its players, then great. But 6 Pack isn't about earning Au and Ag. That much should be obvious. Come join us, won't you? discord.gg/FjUTqrz

Both major platforms have their own tournament. I guess I could have made that more clear. Currently there are 20 teams registered for April, 12 for Android and 8 for iOS. Additionally, Amazon and FBGR has the beginnings of a community, but needs more pilots and teams to form proper tournaments.

IMO it would be more interesting if you ran a blacklist of OP weapons/bots each season much like Pokemon.
There are many component items I would love to run, aren't OP and certainly not as good as say orkans and tarrans.
For those of us with maxed hangars it's more of a reason to build another hangar (which isn't cheap) and it also contributes to the game as a definitive standard to pix of how players rate the performance of items.
Considering another set of orkans would be 18k Au for 5 griffs allowing component items isn't adding exclusivity any more than the current system and if the focus is on skill then the increased opportunity for loadouts surely gives more room to show this.
I'd love to do this but not if it just means buying another hangar of griffs and ancilots.

Whether or not is it viable depends on how good you are of a player, and how your hanger fits with your team.

If you miss War Robots from the old days, then 6PL is for you. No super-meta bots, just skill, tactics and team play.
Nova Rising is running 2 teams for 6PL and we actively play custom games as well.
If you are not in a clan you can still play as a free agent (find out on the Discord server above) and join a team for games.

Your essentially just playing domination right? Orkans and tarrans were the first have/have not line when I was back in gold so what makes this different from normal gold league (pre dash/tanking)

Your essentially just playing domination right? Orkans and tarrans were the first have/have not line when I was back in gold so what makes this different from normal gold league (pre dash/tanking) There is still a meta and Orkans and Tarans are still apart of it, but just not as dominant a part as they were on the live server pre component bots. The main reason being the restrictions to 6/6. No matter what level you were playing on the live server you would have disparity in bot / weapon levels (especially as they upgrade at differing rates), wepons generally being relatively more powerful. At 6/6 many of the closer range weapons don’t have the burst damage to end a level 6 red as quick. With the restriction on the speed it also means getting into position and avoiding mid range is all the harder. Some quick examples, at 6/6 a RDB won’t take down a fujins ancile on its own. But a punisher griff will take it down and take most of the bots HP in a single clip. Due to its speed and relative firepower the Aphid Jessie is actually ‘a thing’. Trebs and gekkos are just shy of useless but molot are a nighmare on bigger maps. Coupled with this teams are organised and on comms, people routinely pairing with complementary load outs and co-ordinating to deal with problems. Matchs are extremely close, just about always decided on beacon control. Anyone who is meching out early or being overly aggressive is a liability.
There is a meta, ancilots are a big part of it and of course Orkans are in there. But bullets are a very big part of it and mid range in particular is key to holding territory. And Rog’s, Rog’s everywhere.
Definitely worth giving it a go, would highly recommend.

Nailed it! ^^^ Rock/Paper/Scissors again. My boys from Anarchy clan [KAOS] took down an extremely skilled team last night that had no less than 4 ancilots, 3 Fujins, 2 Carnages and a partridge in a pear tree...and the tree had a built in ancile! My team had only 3 anciles in total. Not saying how we did it, but I will say much of the fun for me was planning out how to work around the large number of anciles in the game. So much fun!
Btw, it was not easy! We won the match 3-2. Much respect to team Wiki Syndicate 1.

Anyway, best of luck to you and everybody who's pouring their heart and soul into the league. Danny, I play 6/6 almost every night, then try a game on the live server, the live server is so disappointing. I noticed your dissatisfaction with War Robots also, give this a go. The hardest part is getting into the rooms on Line or Discord, so you can join an active game. You can get in by friend on Facebook with someone active, or join an active clan. We also have organized intraclan battles and tournaments. It is so much fun some of the players quit the live server completely and build multiple 6/6 hangars for long and short maps. Imagine every games lasts 10 minutes and MM is always perfect. Maxed bots and weapons are so cheap you can change your hangar and experiment as often as you want. I go up against highly skilled champion players every night, I have learned so much from them. Last but not least, playing with comms is an entirely different game play.

For me it would have to be spare of the moment to play 3-4 games.

6PL is totally fun! Seldom instant death or 5-min walkovers, unlike the normal games we are getting now. Me and my mates at Nova Rising started participating actively in 6PL monthly tournament and practice games with other clans and teams around the world only in Mar 2018. We now have games every other day and are having a really fun time.
So if you are jaded by the changes since summer 2017, do consider joining the 6PL community for some old school Walking War Robots fun!

Just adding to what [NovR]101Rangers already said: We at Nova Rising play 6PL a lot. We currently have two 7-man teams that play a lot of sessions, and have managed to gather quite a few other guys into the league. Interest in the clan is very high, and most of our members are either interested or actively playing. I can personally say it's the most fun I've had with War Robots in a long long time. In the ongoing April league, we had the fortune / misfortune that our two teams are pitted against each other in the first round, and we're stoked! The Drunkards vs The Bartenders! Sauntering by this Sunday!

?? This is what it is all about. Great matches, more fun than I have had in a long time from practicing in house to joining in squads with others from the 6 pack League. Great group of players from all over, here to have fun, show off their skills, and to use tactics to overcome. That is 6 pack. It is a Blast! And did I say FUN! Edit: GO Drunkards! Sorry Bartenders, not really ?

Hi, I joined the discord group and have been reading through the channels but I’m unclear if it’s only for established teams in a tournament. I’m not able to commit to a month long schedule right now but I’d like to try it out in random games with whoever. Is there such a place where I can see when people are gathering and post my ID to be included in spontaneous battles? Preferably without comms because of my situation but I could play in the bathroom I guess
