Question: Have they ever used the word exchange when they are talking about workshop 2.0 or just create ?
Perhaps they will allow you to create new ones and as for what you have gathered , you will have to sell them for AG and use it to make what you want.
Anyone with an archive of their posts on workshop 2.0 ?

Go back to just gold and silver, FFS. Price new gear at outrageously high amounts of gold if they must -- people will still pay for it. And quit jerking us around with 8000 different currencies for the sole purpose of confusing people into buying more of something than they need to. Going back to the gold system would be a bit counterproductive. The component system was made so that players couldn't save currency ahead of time (often without spending RM). Aside from the epic fail rollout, it was successful in slowing the release of new content and restricting it to folks who were willing to pay for early access. It isn't a terrible system so long as there isn't a massive power imbalance (classic vs dash) and f2p can get new content in a reasonable period of time. The current implementation is nearly reasonable by this measure post-dash. Still, I have to acknowledge that having a bajillion currencies and forcing players to collect ones they don't want isn't great either. Unfortunately, interconverting components would actually bring us back to the same pre-saving currency system which discourages RM expenditures. They could still do it so long as the conversion has a limit or takes time to do. To me, the whole thing seems needlessly complicated and deceptive like so many things Pixonic does. A simpler system might have had daily deals for gold to item components. New content deals could start out expensive and get cheaper each month. Eventually, the item could be purchased with gold and any existing components could be converted to an amount of gold equal to the components percentage multiplied by the gold cost. As an example, weapon x gets converted to a 1000 gold item. You have 7,500 of 10,000 components. That would get converted to 750 gold (1000 gold * 7500/10000).

Found it : warrobots.net/en/posts/182There will be more components and more ways to spend their surpluses — for example, turning one type of components into another.
