So I am about to get my second Tempest. Currently I am running my single tempest on my Lance which is actually pretty cool with two Molot T’s. Although my Molot’s and Lance are not upgraded much, the durability of the Lance is good and still deals some good mid range support damage. Anyway my longer term plan is to deal some serious damage hence the question here. I am tossing up between the Tempest Natasha and Tempest Fury. I would be ok to get another Tempest after the second to have three for my spare Fury however I cannot find a good justification. Pix are about to buff the Molot 10% in the next update meaning the Tempest Fury only has an additional 5.5% firepower than the Tempest/Molot Natasha (and currently it is still only a 9% difference without the buff). The Fury also costs significantly more in silver and time to upgrade the Robot and they both are 190k health and 33Km speed level 12. The only benefit I can see with the Fury (which I have a spare in my hanger so gold isn’t the issue) is that the mounts are on the top which might make shooting over things while hiding in cover better as the Natasha has the side mounts which would not fire over things. But other than that I can’t see much more difference. It seems an awful lot of resources to put towards (another Tempest and time for upgrades) for shooting over things and 5.5% extra damage. Am I missing something here or maybe any other suggestions like the Tempest Fujin (but again the Fujin is crazy for time and silver for upgrades – I still have to upgrade my brawlers and weapons etc more)? Also attached are my calcs.

Tempest Fury as a mid-ranger in a class all by himself. In the right hands, on the right map (Yama, Canyon, Springfield), this build can and does control the game.
I also have a Raijin (still level 1), and someday I may level it up to see how it does with Level 12 Tempests, I'm sure it would be good.

I would say go with Fury, there are certain spots where fury fits perfectly. Like on Springfield, dead city, etc, fury can fire over the building while remaining completely protected by buildings. Generally people who don't have fury or third tempest, run natasha. But both can be equally dangerous if you caught in the open. Once the mk2 tempest starts pumping, it takes 4-5sec to kill any unshielded bots. I've seen tempest fury tearing shocktrain bulgasari like a piece of paper. It's shield doesn't protect against tempest or molots.
But imo, you should rethink before investing time and resources for upgrading them. they come in suppressing weapons category. and pretty much useless in smaller map like moon map, so unless you have second hangar deck, don't run it. Generally all good full squad have one tempest guys on larger map for suppressing reds from advancing.
But right know meta is changing very rapidly, tempests are being replaced by Fury dragoons. Invest your resources wisely, get dragoon components for your fury, they are deadly even on smaller maps, and are cheap.

Health and speed-wise, they have the same health per level up, so their survivability is the same, but the cost to upgrade Fury is a lot higher due to its 3rd heavy hardpoint, so calculating as if the weapons are at level 1:
x2 Tempest + x2 Molot --- 1640 Base Damage
x3 Tempest ------------------ 1800 Base Damage
So statistically speaking, Tempest Fury is the best for damage in the current state of the game, and now that I've done the math, the second I get my 3rd tempest i'm swapping my Natasha for a Fury.

Also attached are my calcs. The Fujin is incorrectly named "it should be Raijin" since u indicate 2 Tempest weapons. However you have to consider that the Raijin has a Bastion Mode with 30% dmg boost. so the calculations have to consider the cycle damage when in normal mode vs in Bastion Mode. and also you can consider the Fujin with 3 Molot-T for calculations also.

The position of hard points of Fury are pretty good in some map/situation, not to mention it also has the highest dps in all Tempest/Molot build. But Nathasia is pretty good as well if you don’t have 3 Tempest or 5000Au for a Fury in your storage.

I have 3 Tempests (Level 12, Level 12, Level 1), and at 420 components for sometimes a 1000/1100 WSP, am going for a few more.
My Leo, Lance, Carnage, Fury will all be wearing them in a large map hanger (some day, years from now LOL).
Natasha with Tempests is also good (been slaughtered by these many times), but if it were me, I'd run Punishers if used on smaller maps for Nat's light weapon hardpoints. If larger maps only, Molots.

Thanks for all your advice.
I ponied up and went for the Fury Tempest. I tried the Natasha with Punishers and found I kept wondering into the kill zone to make range. I then tried Geckos which were pretty good but often the side mount would get blocked and not make the target where the top mounted tempests were hitting. I figured I would have the same issue with the Molots on the side. So I am getting my third tempest in a few days when I finish off collecting the components and will mount on the Fury.
All up it will cost me an extra 15 days and 26 million silver to do Fury Tempest on the upgrade to full level, for only a marginal cycle damage output compared to the Tempest/Molot Natasha (20,000 difference of around 5%), but I figured that I could shoot behind better cover (over mounds, behind buildings etc) which the Natasha could not do. That said the Natasha offers more variety and options which would be interesting too and definitely a viable option. I really liked the Geckos on the larger maps at 600-800 meters because they made guaranteed damage if found target in 5 seconds (my Geckos at level 8,9), whereas the molot/tempest might miss 50% or more at that range.
Also the other calcs and information on the other Natasha thread was excellent.
Thanks again!

I ran the Natasha with tempests and when I got my third I went to a fury. This was many months ago during the tempest event. Fury is better because of slightly higher damage potential, better weapons positioning that allows for utilising favourable shooting positions, better bullet clustering when it comes from the sort of same overhead location, it is great for zone control on some maps, shield breaker and even up close and personal it has huge damage potential what many underestimate at times.
@samoe has some good points including that the fury is a squad animal. When I solo I often remove him. When in squad I am loved for having it. Sometimes you score huge sometimes you score little depending on the task you need to do (eg, request comes in to break a shield, lay down suppressive fire or pop an unshielded bot). I hate it when I get caught by one of those things on the red side.
Having said that it has been around for even longer than the dashes. I fear that its days are numbered. So if you live for today go with the Fury. If you plan ahead methodically than consider your options. Costs a lot to upgrade.

Works well on slow bots, i.e Lances, Griffins trying to cross an open area. However inefficient against dash bots and everyone and their mother has one now.
Everything needs to be instant now or else its subnormal.
I'm lucky to do 500k with my 2xlvl 10 tempest + 2xlvl 10 molots
