Another new bot. The Mercury, does damage on landing. Thanks, PIX, yet another addition we didn't ask for.

I actually like these sort of additions aside from the fact that they dilute the component pool. I hope that gets addressed separately.
Besides Dash Bots, Shocktrains and Specter (which is only a huge issues when it carries 4 Shocktrains) - the new content has been pretty unique and balanced.
So they're batting like .600 (?)
I didn't include dragoon because like a ST Specter the issue is 3 heavy slots on 1 bot (fury) not the weapon itself. A single dragoon isn't hard to deal with.

I think the Mercury's death-from-above ability could be a very nice addition to the game. Any ability that encourages brawling is a good thing, I think.

I have it on a Lance with Tarans. Gives my Lance more range, and is deadly when combined with Tarans inside 350 meters. The only drawback is there is no proximity damage. You have to bullseye the target to achieve damage. Hard to do at ranges from 400 to 600 meters, especially if one or both of you are moving.

I don't mind new bots, it keeps the game interesting. Where Pixonic is screwing it up is this "pilling up of skills": Griffin gets jump, fine. Inquisitor gets jump and stealth mode. Mercury gets jump, stealth AND stomp damage. I would limit each bot to one special thing, make it balanced and have players develop strategies based on the bot's abilities.
But then again, I repeating what has been already said 549857349057349576980956098750986749876498 times.

Not sure about the radius or amount, but it's 360° splash damage. I saw on a test server video it does 30K damage upon landing and 30 when it dies. The idea is you die in the middle of reds pounding your tail into the ground. You give them, in return, a big middle finger of defiance!

Another new bot. The Mercury, does damage on landing. Thanks, PIX, yet another addition we didn't ask for. Wait til the next update. You'll see that and the matte black ISIS bomber bot with a red bandana sporting passages from the Koran painted in gold on it. Together they'll make your gaming experience a living hell. One will chase your damaged bot down exploding itself at will and the other will catch you hiding behind a building and stomp you into oblivion without you ever knowing where it came from. That's the PIXONIC advanced method of eliminating any need for player skill in the game.

What is the rational behind damage being caused by a landing bot? And even more importantly, how will this feature benefit the gaming experience? I fail to see it. The first thing that pops into my mind is STs as this feature has again a team work destroying element. I dont like weapons of mass destruction or features that further erode the value of team work.

Goodbye plausible military vehicle mechanical design. Hello Spanish inquisition themed bots that explode just a little bit upon landing. Also dash bots.

Another new bot. The Mercury, does damage on landing. Thanks, PIX, yet another addition we didn't ask for. It's not that bad...there's a red circle, stay out of it. Like stay away from the Spectres when they jump... Best bet is to run a jumping bot, an ancilot, or a Korean bot that can start away on the fly. Everything else legacy wise is screwed....

Honestly, I think Pix is trying to kill the team aspect of the game. Easier to get individual players to buy the latest and greatest to earn more damage, thus more Ag & Au.

TBH I haven’t thought of that but you could be onto something. If the value of team work is minimised than the benefit derived from purchasing and using OP gear is increases indeed.

i hope that gravitational damage is also implemented on all jumping/flying bots. The higher the jump the higer the damage. it reminds me of Super Mario Bro

I think in 6 months from now max it will be ability based. Speed will be there and all guns will have a variant for all types so there is one thing that will distinguish bots . Abilities. Jump , stealth , damage dealing or damage resistance . This is what modules (which has been down played) is all about after all. Giving an ability . You will need to have one to inflict damage or counter it else you won't make it. Mercury , Falcon , kamikazi bot are heavily ability based and in fact it's what defines them and not speed hp or weapon slots . Mercury and kamikazi have a built shocktrain variant for brawling but even stronger since damage doesn't fall from hit to hit . Note this one . This will lead to more team play since it specialization will be required, i.e. you will need to have the bot with the ability to counter an ability of the enemy team like you need a healer in moba. The modules they are prepping are the next step but before that, the ability mentality must be spread and so they are doing it now . Like they did with the death button proliferation which later scaled up. Mrs Pacman with bots is upon us. Perhaps it will be fun , let's remain positive !
