I recently stocked up on three storms for my fujin. After a level up, I decided to give them a test run. These weapons are awful. Punishers and molots of inferior level outgun them entirely.
This is a new gun, that requires a significant amount of components to acquire, WHY IS IT SO DAMN AWFUL!?
edit: After some upgrades I determined two Storms and two Gusts on a Griffin is effective. Might put them on my Galahad after higher levelling, especially if I get a good replacement for the Griffin.

Storm is just a medium-size version of the Thunder. -And just like the Thunder, it's only really good inside 100m. It's best on something fast, and/or something that can ambush. Obviously I'm just presuming here, but something tells me your fujin isn't able to get close enough to be fully effective most of the time. A Fujin with Storms reminds me of Raijins with Thunders, with most of the same criticisms.
I've got two of them, and I've tried them on Griffin, Rhino, Kumiho and Rogatka... I am still working out what robot works best for me, but they seemed to work quite well as long as I got inside 100m. My ultimate conclusion wasn't that they were weak, however they're too much of a "niche weapon" IMHO, and I certainly won't be replacing my Orkans with them. Orkans may have a slower reload, but they're way more versatile for ambushing and knife-fighting.

Pix is giving these things away like candy, along with Gusts. Of course they're crap.

The combo worked for a 10/7 Storm Fujin at red spawn in a TDM I played. He was waiting for the blues to go to him.

That’s what you’d expect from a free giveaway.

I have 4 storms and almost enough parts for 4 more. Best use I've found is a shotgun Hover (w/ Gust). It's mostly a support bot that I use to shred anciles from max range, but I've had games in which I can pop & drop for 3-5 kills with it.

It's free silver for me in the bank when I need it. 40k components waiting to be traded in.

Ive had a pretty positive run with them so far. Paired with a gust on a gary, it can play slap fanny with many heavy mechs and still come out peaches. Try to mount them on sturdy mechs that can close fast. Top bots for me are haechi, gary, hover and doc.

You really need to put all shotgun types of weapons on a bot that can get to point blank range FAST. Otherwise, it's just a support weapon for taking down Anciles - which it excels at by the way. NOTHING strips down Anciles faster than shotgun weapons. Working in pairs, a shotgun build and a DB build can take down anything in this game.

Storms can be very effective. It's all in how you use it. Check out the 1 min to 2 minute part of this video.

I like mine. A lot. All depends on how you use them. codebrown is on point. Thunders have to get close too... Storms will come damn close to equaling a Thunder's damage output over the course of a magazine unload. Gusts too. I've had some great games with three builds, the Golem Shotty build, the Haechi Storm, and the Kumi Storm. You really need the speed of the faster bots to be able to get in there and smack em, then get away... just like Koala said... Or in the case of the Golem, be tough, have great corner shooting, and semi-mobile (Mk2 Level 12 anyway) I am trying them on the Bulg now... so far I don't like it.

What's the difference between your preference on the Haechi and Kumiho over Bulg? Is it that Bulg is just slower to the point where you don't get in with as much ease as the other two dashes? I'm in the process of leveling 3 Storms and a new Haechi, and I was considering putting 2 of them on the Kumiho as well. Good lord Storms take a while... so for that reason I'm interested in your experience.

Try using one with 2 Tarans, I quite like it.
