Can you add a short description of each era? I think I joined during version 2.0-2.4 but don’t pay attention to version numbers. I remember it as being about a year before the wild west bots came out (whenever that was).

Back when it was Walking War Robots. When Rhinos were feared and Mag/Geps were what was complained about.

I started after the Brits, but before the Wild West. Trident Furies were just coming into their own as the hot new killers, to deal with the Galahads and Thunder Orkan Lances. The Ancile had not been buffed/fixed yet so no one used them. Good times, those.

I joined way before plasma came out. When aphids homed in like spiral and oftentimes had stealth. And the Zeus made a crackling lightning sound. And Yamantau was day time.
Oh and the cheaters were using the One ring and walked around invisible to beacons to cap it. And it was skill of the vets to anticipate where they might reappear and unleash a whooping on Frodo.

Well, we can see how many new users the recent content is attracting. 3.0 made it a totally new game no one wants to pay, er, play. Most of the veteran players are leaving or near it. Great job Pix!

Back when it was Walking War Robots. When Rhinos were feared and Mag/Geps were what was complained about. Eh, Rhinos were complained about as well by people who played off-meta, it's just that they took actual skill to pilot and were thus more respected by the higher tier of mm community. Anyways, I joined a few months before the 1.0 update where they nerfed MGs into oblivion, made the boa an op god(at least until the Rhino came out), and changed the hangar UI.

Joined early 2015, went MIA for irl reasons for a year. Came back mid 2016, was a member of original WIKI and WIK2. MIA again until post Leagues. Stopped really playing when BM came out as a permanent thing. Still hanging around because I do enjoy the game, in small doses. But War Robots has come far down the dank and dark from what it was.

I actually started playing it when it first hit Android back in '14. I checked my Google history. At the time I was new to app games and I never actually paid attention to all the details about the game. Played it only occasionally thinking it was a half decent AI combat game. Took me 2 years to get to level 20 since I was so occasional. I finally figured out there were other live players in the game around the end of March '16. Stopped screwing around in matches and dropping out of games unexpectedly after that. Bought and sold a bunch of different bots and weapons that I now wish I hadn't sold. Found this forum around Christmas '16. Stopped playing when version 3.6 hit. 「fluffernutter」 Random!

I started playing oct17, so i have no rose glasses too look thro : ) The only thing I really dont agree with is random! I see the point, buy more hangars to adapt... hands up whose done this?... anyone? nope The way I see it, they lost money on this idea. Whales bought hangars regardless, and the rest of us are playing less and spending less. You add an event into the mix making random more of a joke. So everyone plays less. Im no tactician or Alan Sugar but even I can see this plan sucks 「bum-bum」!

I wanted to believe that folks getting fed up and leaving was making a difference. Much to my profound disappointment, the numbers say otherwise (https://thinkgaming.com/app-sales-data/9124/walking-war-robots/). War robots new p2w strategy is, unfortunately, paying off. gman4hire. Totally agree that the dual hangar was missed opportunity. It would have been a must have if you could use the same equipment for hangar two. Current implementation is for super whales only--even the mid and low level whales don't use it.

I joined early January 2017 and I did experience hangar-based MM. For just a couple weeks I think. I loved it, despite the mag gepards
I remember telling all my friends I had discovered a WONDERFUL F2P game...

Pix don't care that old original players are leaving. They want the new type that Pay to Play! Loyalty doesn't buy BMWs. Maybe I'm lucky I missed the Golden Era, I don't know what I'm missing. Ignorance is bliss !

Ver 2.5 I believe. Feb 12th, 2017 was the exact date I started War Robots.
This was back when Britbots were the toughest gang on the block.

This graph is really interesting. The outcomes of the survey seems to suggest that most people stick with the game for a bit over a year and then the attrition sort of equates to the early retention rates.

At the start of the Halloween '17 event when gold rained down win or lose. That event spoiled me and helped out my hangar a lot.

Started late December 2016 at the tail end of the Mag-Gep era - was just on the cusp of having enough gold to get my first but luckily held back. Don’t even rember what tier i was in, just that I places into Diamond 3 when leagues started.
