If you run a hover and find yourself getting stuck when you land like there's glue on the ground can you chime in?
Basically you land on what appears to be a fine spot, and.... wait a second, I can't effin move. Sometimes it'll break free after several seconds, and sometimes you have to wait until the hover ability recharges and take off again. Unfortunately, you're a sitting duck being hammered while trying to get loose. It's happened to me about 20 times in the last 2 months, and I was thinking it was me just loosing thumb press on the directional pad. But now I'm fairly certain it's related to landing next to or on any small random item sticking up thats part of the map design, like on small structure at powerplant with a small pipe sticking up.
There's a whole other issue of landing just perfect to get your protruding orkans or tarans hung on a roof ledge as you come down, but that's different than what I'm talking about.
Anyways, just seeing if it's something I'm doing wrong or if others have experienced this.

I just got a Hover a few hours ago and testing it in custom matches find it gets stuck all over the place. This might be a different issue but basically any ledge that another robot would walk off and drop the Hover stops walking at the edge and you can see the rockets burning. But it doesn’t float down, it just stops at the edge.
Sometimes the Hover does walk off the ledge, most times it doesn’t. And some places this happens trying to walk up a small ramp-like feature (on Moon get on top of the wall to the right of spawn and try to walk onto the circular end-cap. Can’t).
I can walk away from the edge but if what it’s standing on is small there’s basically a ledge all around and I’m stuck there, except for ability or frantic walking sometimes.
Need to do more experiments. This is very frustrating.

Did a second round of testing and this time it doesn’t stop at edges like it did in my previous post. It walks right off pretty easily and consistently now at places it was a hard stop. The bot has been leveled up since the previous test, maybe that’s the difference.
However there’s still some areas that give it hiccups. Like it can’t walk down the ramps near center beacon in Valley, it stops then glides then stops all the way down. In Dead City near the right beacon is a low wall with a square on top. That square is a real hassle for this bot. Also in DC around the lip of the center bowl it’ll occasionally stop then glide while trying to walk. The place in Moon mentioned in my previous post is now just a temporary stop then it can walk onto the circular end-cap.
There was one full on stuck moment in this second test when I got the bot on the very tippy top of Valley’s center beacon structure. That’s a very narrow strip but it wouldn’t walk along or off it, stuck in place until using ability.

If the Hover isn't working properly, try switching it off at wall then on again. Lol.

The kumiho has loads of clipping bugs like this . With no sign of being rectified i might add . Hover being less 'premium' i doubt they will look at it any tine soon....

Sitting duck in the air, sitting duck on the ground. Makes sense. My Lvl 1 sitting duck did almost 900,000 damage in 1 game by itself. Glad I'm not facing that sitting duck

Thats the most important thing. #Skillz #OPsittingduck Same as every bot in the game, it has positives and negatives. It is a unique bot that does what no other bot can do, against that being up so high it is an easy target for trebs and other long range weapons. Like a griff or rog stay on the ground in that case or wait until the treb has just fired before you jump. It's faster to beacons than most bots, against that is of course that brings you closer to the enemy and their weapons. As mine is setup at the moment I stay back a bit and snipe, others of course will use theirs for brawling with orks or tarans. Some maps against some enemies it works, others not so much.

I love that bot too, but it really perfoms poorly in androids high leagues. 2 many mk2 ST, Zeus, Treb. Airtime is just 2 long, even when only tapping the ability button. Other leagues, other viability, thats for sure. Aside from that, on a mobile device, u basically need to use 3 fingers of the right hand to unlock its full potential, wich is something i dont really enjoy doing while sitting on a sofa. PS sorry OP for the off topic on your thread.

I have only gotten stuck on a weird patch of ground once, wish I could remember where it was... I want to say it was dead city, but that doesn't seem right because I usually mess around with hover in long range hangar I don't use on that map. Anyway on an angled piece of ground the hover can rarely be activated, you can get out of it just like you can walking off a ledge, by rolling with it and just hovering just above the ground (which is faster than walking anyway). Though granted, when you are actually "stuck" as opposed to deliberately walking off a ledge you may not be ready for it, and so just get "stuck" there until he "lands" again. In any case if you didn't know, you don't really want to hover anywhere by means of vertical take off (unless positive there are no snipers), just step off a ledge to activate hover, then tap it while descending but before landing and repeat, so you skim the ground too low to be in sniper danger but still hovering (so going even faster than normal).

I watched a hover get stuck on a ledge on valley. Whoever they were they couldn't do anything aside from shoot and had to wait for the ability to recharge to get away. The boosters (or whatever they're called) were constantly flaring while they were stuck.
I think it was dumb luck that they didn't get noticed because there was about 3 or 4 bots on the red team.
