Anyone know how repair costs are calculated?

I’m sure it is quite complex. For me it is enough to know that the more damage that is done to my robot, the more robots I lose in a battle, the types of robots I’m using, and the level of those robot, will all determine the greater or lesser amount of Ag payout to the hangar technicians.
The less you lose, the less you payout.

Things that are pretty much certain to affect repair cost: - how much actual damage you receive - what level your gear is - how long the battle lasts
Things that might affect the repair cost: - the number of bots lost - how many % of damage compared to total HP - any other battle statistics number, such as damage done or kills or beacons - any player stat, such as hangar slot count or win% - how much damage did you do or receive compared to other players - random number generator - phase of the moon, day of the week etc - league
Many of these could affect repair cost either way, increase or decrease.
It used to be so that repair cost would be higher than Ag reward, so it was possible to lose Ag on battle... Then this was changed (I think sometime in 2016, I wasn't playing back then). It could have been changed since then again.
So yeah, from player perspective, repair cost is kinda... semi-arbitrary. I think this is a bad thing.

As was brought up in a thread some weeks ago, if you lose no weapons and bang out before your mech is destroyed you actually get NO repair cost.
So it's tied somehow to the weps.
Way to tell is to lose one bot (and one bot only), say a Punisher Griff, then do the same with an Ork/Mag Griff. Same bot, more expensive weps.
I might even do it right now.
EDIT: OK, here's the scoop. It's all black magic and makes no sense at all Playing BR, and using only my first bot.
My Punisher Griff (8/8/8/7 weps) got a repair bill of 9,847 My DB Griff (all 9s) got a repair bill of 18,659 Which sorta leans toward more expensive/levelled weps = higher repair bill.
But that was going kamikaze and destroying whatever I could and I think grabbing one beacon.
I did one more round with no firing. Just a suicide run The DB Griff repair bill a mere 1,250
Using my iPad account, my DB Griff (all lev 10s) was 15,878, with no firing 78,100

note: running cossacks GREATLY REDUCES REPAIR COSTS.
it's beyond me to imagine why people wouldn't run them.

I once saw an ancient screenshot from Walking War Robots (maybe 3-4 years ago?) that explained in detail how the repair costs were calculated. I think only the level and type of your bots and weapons that were destroyed was factored in. I'm pretty sure that's not the case right now, as it seems randomized around a very loose baseline. It would be cool if Pixonic released a similar chart, but i guess it's not in their best interest to do.

I have totally given up trying to understand after battle income let alone repair cost, and I suggest you do the same it's just a small cog in the obfuscated, under-the-surface mechanics of the game that are tweaked once in a while to make sure you never have enough Silver and are motivated to spend your hard-earned $$$ to shoot virtual robots.

To add to the subject, there are some things which won't affect the repair cost of a single battle. Probably.
- Names of your unborn children (unless you have promised them to mail.ru in exchange for Shocktrain Dashes). - Weather two weeks from now (close than that and I wouldn't bet on it). - Any suggestions or feedback given to Pixonic about the game (obviously). - Menstrual cycle of even your closest female friend/relative (it may affect how much time you have to play though). - Migration patterns of Antarctic Penguins (African and South American... maybe).

note: running cossacks GREATLY REDUCES REPAIR COSTS.it's beyond me to imagine why people wouldn't run them. When I know a win is moments away, I switch bots. My repair cost has been zero if that final bot had no damage. I don't run cossacks, but if it always works out this way, I can't imagine why I would ever want to. If I really need a strong bot in that last slot in order to get the win, I'd be really mad at myself if all I had left was a cossack.

My testing ended in random costs. Using the same bot. Suicide and wait until end of game.
I got different results each time
