Does only one person get credit for capturing a beacon, or do all that are within range once it is captured get credit. I’m just wondering if it’s a race or not.

All who are in range when beacon flips do get credit.

Each beacon has an invisible perimeter around it. This is called the Beacon Zone.
- Even if all six teammates are within beacon zone, they all get credit.
- You can capture beacons by merely entering the outer perimeter of the beacon zone; it isn't necessary to walk on top of the beacon. You can gradually learn what the outer perimeter is on all the beacons by paying attention to at what proximity it starts to turn, and you should note aspects of the terrain and structures to act a a reminder for later. By doing this, you are often able to cap beacons without exposing your mech to enemy fire
- It is NOT necessary for a beacon to be white for you to cap the beacon. As soon as a the enemy starts your beacon to blink, you can kill them, recap it, and this gives you a capture credit.
- You only get a capture credit if the beacon indicator has turned solid blue
